Chance @ Love Metropolis Edition

I originally posted these at the old S_D on LJ years ago, and felt like reposting.

From Harley Quinn #15: Metropolis Mailbag.

First things first, some Harley/Ivy love. (Ivy does have a point about Supes' X-ray vision...)

And of course, Harley's biological clock means she's late for work. HOURS late I might add. Yet, Jimmy doesn't seem to mind. (He has such a school boy crush on Harls without realising it).

Nevertheless, Harley is indeed dedicated to her work!

No one ever escapes a scolding from Mr. Perry White. EVER. Not even the Joker's girlfriend. (Then again, things would probably be different if this were the Joker himself...)

God do I miss this series, especially Karl Kesel's run.

I think she evacuated along with Paul Dini the second he stopped writing Streets of Gotham, personally. That said, I'm kinda-sorta interested to see what they do with her in the Suicide Squad - I don't think the current version has any legs at all once you take her apart from her association with Joker, so I'm looking forward to that particular revamp/reboot.

	At the moment, Harley let the Joker out of his cage at Arkham Asylum, Selina parted ways, and Ivy went to rescue Harley but gave her the ultimatum of choosing between her or the Joker. I absolutely adored this series all the way up to the hell storyline (right after this one).

This is the first comic series that my sister and I got into together, and we used to discuss whether or not it made sense for Harley to operate independently of the Joker in the Harley Quinn identity. She always says how much she hates the guy, but still wears a costume that serves as a testament to his influence over her.

Even in that issue of Detective where Bruce thinks that she's sane enough to re-enter society, she helped him out the entire issue dressed as a clown. "Well... even though you're still dressed as a curvaceous Valentine to my arch enemy, not to mention all those people you've helped murder, I guess you're over him."

But thoughts like this never distracted from the fun of the series.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. The Dodson's Ivy was always one of my favorite renderings. :)
