Marvel Solicits for September 2011
Jun. 14th, 2011 10:45 pmCosmicBookNews has the solicits of the September titles, and practically all of them are going full throttle.
(Did they know about DC's re-NU-ing itself? Because it looks like they are working HARD to make sure they can compete).
Some of the solicits that caught my eyes:
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #508
Written by Matt Fraction
Art & Cover by Salvador Larroca
Marvel Architect Variant also available
Marvel Architects Sketch Variant also available
FEAR ITSELF TIE-IN
Tony finishes his work in Svartalfheim and must make the ultimate leap of faith to finish the job -- and try to get back to Earth in time to save it! Meanwhile Rescue has to deal with Hammer Industries’ Detroit Steel Corps and the monstrous Grey Gargoyle in the ruins of Paris…

Someone's been reading my fan-fiction, is all I have to say....
JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #627 & #628
Written by Kieron Gillen
Penciled by RICHARD ELSON & Whilce Portacio
Covers by STEPHANIE HANS
FEAR ITSELF TIE-IN
There's a story bartenders tell about the devil. That at closing time, he chooses a bar and walks in the door. He'll want to talk about his day. If you listen and survive, he'll give you a tip. The story isn't true, but occasionally it amuses Mephisto to play along. And when he's spent the day spying on all the earthly gods and what exactly they're going to do about FEAR ITSELF, you'll want to hear what he has to say.

Date: 2011-06-15 06:25 am (UTC)I'm still annoyed that Sun Wukong doesn't have any real monkey characteristics.
Genocide is a better name than Holocaust at least.

Date: 2011-06-15 06:49 pm (UTC)Mephisto: I'll take a Bud. Man, you would not BELIEVE what I had to do today. I had to deal with the constant whining families that thought the world was ending so they killed themselves, the Lord is on my ass about it, and I found out that Hitler's actually starting to ENJOY his constant torture. *sigh* And people wonder why I've gotten into destroying marriages. I just need some time AWAY from the office, you know?

Date: 2011-06-15 05:41 pm (UTC)Besides, if they really wanted to beat DC's ass in September, all they'd have to do is go up on stage during the San Diego Comic-Con and say into a mic, "Day and date digital releases. Ninety-nine cents."
Then they C-walk off the stage and the Internet blows up.
