Also known as: Ellen Baker: She is Awesome.

Recap: Animal Man has suddenly lost his powers. As if this weren't bad enough, Mirror Master shows up and starts to beat the crap out of him on behalf of his ~mysterious shadowy employers~.

You'd think a trained hitman would have some kind of equipment to protect his...er...equipment. And you'd be wrong.

The main emphasis on Animal Man's speech here is also that the only words he's been able to utter to Mirror Master so far are "mmph" and "ooph" and the like, prompting MM to criticise the standard of American education.

And for my next trick post, I promise it won't be Morrison's Animal Man. XD

Awww, this just makes me sad that she's all insecure and stuff in everything post-52 about Kory and Buddy and stuff.

And it made up for Grant having put her in a very clumsy, gratuitous and cliched "threat-of-rape" scene a few issues earlier where she had to be saved by a guy(not Buddy, a neighbor with a gun).

This was McCulloch's first appearance, right?

And not just any guy - her lazy neighbour who spends all of his life on a deck chair. :| I did find that a bit ridiculous.

Yes, it is. :)

I heart McCulloch. He's such a cool villain. And yes, I mean villain, and not villian.

I just love the look on that dogs face when McCulloch gets tossed out.

He's all like "say whaaaat?"

I read a Morrison interview once in which he said that his favourite thing about reinventing Mirror Master as a foul-mouthed Glaswegian was the ability to get words like "slag" past the American DC censors.
