In honour of Father's Day...
Jun. 19th, 2011 08:42 pmLike it or not, when it comes to fatherhood in the DCU, one's mind automatically goes to Bruce Wayne, who has become responsible for more kids than any hero going... Not remotely what I meant < /Amanda Waller>
These have been posted before, in one case by me, but they are so apt I make no apology for posting them again

He's a proud daddy, but he knows that Terry needs to remember who his mummy is.
And who is Batman's father figure? Of course, the obvious answer is Thomas Wayne, but WE know who it really is..

And ultimately, even the mainstream comics aknowledge that too (and though Peter J Tomasi may irk some with his "Whole family" comments, it's moments like this that mean I forgive him a LOT.

Wibble... :(
So those of you can, call your Dad, tell him you love him, those of us who can't, for whatever reason, perhaps spend a minute or two remembering them.

Date: 2011-06-19 11:05 pm (UTC)I've always loved that Bruce gives Alfred five minutes to consider his options, but Alfred doesn't even need to wait until the end of the sentence to know it's what he wants to do.
