A comic book related glass making company called "Toon Tumblers" released on their Facebook page what appears to be Jim Lee's promotional spread for the new Justice League, part of which will be used on drinking glasses given out at this years San Diego Comic Con. As a result, we now have the complete line-up of the Justice League in the wake of the relaunch:

In the center, going from left to right, are the seven members we already know:
  • Aquaman
  • Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
  • Wonder Woman
  • Superman
  • Batman (Bruce Wayne)
  • The Flash (Barry Allen)
  • Cyborg

On the left side of the image, going from top to bottom, we have four additional members:
  • Deadman
  • The Atom (Ray Palmer)
  • Element Woman (from Flashpoint: Secret Seven)
  • Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch)

And on the right side, going from top to bottom, we have four more:
  • Green Arrow
  • Hawkman (Carter Hall)
  • A woman who could be either Zealot, Power Girl, or Miranda Shrieve (from Flashpoint: Frankenstein and the Creatures of the Unknown)
  • Mera

Call me crazy, but for some reason the redesigned costumes look a whole lot better when Jim Lee draws them.  Anyway, what do folks think?

One and a half Black men, one Korean woman and 12 and a half white people.

Four women and eleven males.

So much for diversity in the new DCU.

I actually thought the woman on the right third down was Black Canary

Go Mera!

Two things.
1. Couldn't they leave Element Woman alone? I mean she was finished as a character.
B. You mixed up left and right.

Y'know what gets to me?

Superman and Batman no longer have underwear on the outside...but I can clearly see the lines where they're drawn in. Just not coloured right.

Is it weird that this aggravates me?

Two things:
1. The male heroes seem to all have prominent bulges out front.
1a. You'd think the non-steel among them would want to protect that area.
2b. How many of them stuff?

2. I still don't like Wonder Woman's new costume. Aside from it being cut too low, it doesn't look bad as a costume, but it's not Wonder Woman's costume. Yes, Superman and Batman also have had their costumes redesigned, but they're still recognizable as Superman and Batman.

Where's J'onn in the Flashpoint universe?

The costumes . . . not terrible, I suppose, but none of the designs seem to be particularly interesting. They're cluttered, I think.

Aquaman
Hey, he's got his hand back!
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
Right. No one else gets to be Green Lantern. ::eyeroll::
Wonder Woman
Show those shoulders! Show off your cleavage! (Okay, so she always has, but still, the fact that she's finally covering her legs just makes it stand out more.)
Superman
Looks like he's wearing armor. Why is he wearing armor?
Batman (Bruce Wayne)
EARS THROUGH THE BAT MASK EARS THROUGH THE BAT MASK
The Flash (Barry Allen)
Way too muscled to be any Flash ever.
Cyborg
I love Cyborg, but I don't think he's quite "League" level, and also? That is the most ridiculous Cyborg has ever looked, and I'm counting the time he was all gold.
Deadman
Don't think he's quite League level, either, and how are they going to have him be a part of the cast, the way his possession power works? (Whatever happened to Aliveman, anyway?)
The Atom (Ray Palmer)
Which means Jean Loring will inevitably appear one day to destroy the League. Instead of Giganta inevitably appearing to date Ryan Choi.
Element Woman (from Flashpoint: Secret Seven)
Here's hoping she doesn't spiral into suicidal depression!
Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rousch)
Jason is not interesting as Firestorm.
Green Arrow
How will the League respond to him BREAKING EVERY LAW IN THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE?
Hawkman (Carter Hall)
About time Hawkman, any Hawkman, is back in the League.
A woman who could be either Zealot, Power Girl, or Miranda Shrieve (from Flashpoint: Frankenstein and the Creatures of the Unknown)
Power Girl, please? Please?
Mera
Hell yes. I'll tolerate it for this alone, if she's half as awesome as she was as a Red Lantern.

Aaron "The Mad Whitaker" Bourque; TOO MANY LINES.

Batman and Aquaman seem to have the biggest bulges on the team. I'm not sure what to think of this. And why is Superman's costume all segmented with lots of little lines everywhere? There's no reason for him to be armored, so what gives?

I really like Wonder Woman's costume, although I wish the top half went high enough to prevent unfortunate wardrobe malfunctions. She's joined the shiny pants brigade!

Supes and Bats' new costume designs are way too busy. Superman's looks like armor. He doesn't need armor..he's Superman.

Wondy looks like she's about to fall out too.

Also...is it bad that one of the first things I noticed was that most of the men have very prominent buldges in the front, particularly Bats? I mean, wow....

So this Flashpoint, it really is a reboot and not an Elseworlds that we have to put up with for a while? Sigh.

It's not like Robinson's JLA was any good, but it at least had characters in it that I liked. This one can't even manage to get the right Flash in there. Where's Wally?

This all still looks like total crap. Only thing I'll be buying is Action Comics because it'll be separate from all of this. I hope.

Wow! You nailed it when every comic news source dropped the ball. Has to be Miranda Shrieve. Even wearing the same clothes as her comicvine image. Everyone else wants it to be Black Canary or Power Girl but the former has a much different outfit in Birds of Prey and DC editorial implied PG is not in any relaunch (well, they said no JSA).

The first thing I notice is that Superman's costume is simultaneously hideous and ridiculous. I actually like Wonder Woman's costume when it's drawn by Cliff Chiang (although I still want the Joan Jett-style costume he drew for her to be her actual, canonical costume), although it still does need shoulder straps, but here it looks laughably bad. The other costumes don't look different enough from the classic costumes to be interesting in any way.

This membership roster doesn't interest me. With a few additions, this basically looks like League-classic to me, which, frankly, seems to vitiate the whole idea of a reboot, or whatever they're calling this now. Why bother with making radical changes if you're not actually going to make radical changes?

Why the fuck is Superman tanner than Diana? If they aren't going to draw her as more Themysciran can she at least have an island tan? Jesus.

I actually don't hate the costume here, although the Jim Lee neckline is laughable as usual.

I'm not sure I can get behind any of these costumes. Where even parts of them might work, some other parts just don't for me. (And is Wondy still going to be de-aged?)

I guess I'll just be reading Marvel and some indie stuff for a while. And maybe Red Hood and the Outlaws...
(I'll miss you Wondy! ...Still!)
