The whole Cir-El thing depressed me, really. I don't know whether they had just the one long story-arc in mind for her that ended with her being an altered human and a pawn for Brainiac, but it seems that, like Linda Danvers, she got the short straw because she wasn't a classic version of Supergirl.

The odd thing is, Loeb uses her fairly prominently in his run of Superman/Batman, but then is instrumental in bringing back the so-called 'true' Supergirl, which makes me wonder if it was something like an editorial decision or something he proposed and Didio used it as part of kicking off his silver-age revival.

Regardless, it's nice to see someone else has appreciation for the character. I've only known her through the Superman/Batman trade of Public Enemies, to be honest, but she certainly seemed more interesting than Kara.

I've personally wondered about Cir-El myself. If they always intended to erase the character or not. Many theories fly around concerning her. Like DC made her purposelly just to erase so that we couldn't blame the new Kara's appearance for Linda Danvers removal.

I like to guess Loeb used her despite DC's insistence on getting ready to introduce nuKara.

Especially since Cir-El was in S/B #5 and new Kara debuted a whopping 4 issues later in #9.

I liked her alot and wished they would've expanded on her more.

Whose foot/boot is that coming out of Cir-El's cape? At first I thought it was Peej's, but her leg does not seem to be leading anywhere near it. It's not even a very well drawn boot.

It works okay if we just assume that her thighs are convex in front. Were you maybe mistaking that slice of Cir-El's hip for part of Peej's leg? (Because I was for a minute. Looked very strange.)
