Totally not too good to be true.

You know that episode of The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog where Sonic and co. develop a de-Roboticizer that frees everybody's loved ones and Sonic gets his uncle back, only for the process to revert at the end because that would be too easy?  This issue is like that.  Four scans from Avengers: The Children's Crusade #6.


So last issue (and that was a while ago), the Young Avengers found the Scarlet Witch, who was going to marry Doctor Doom; now she has her memories back, and the YA plus Clint, Beast, Jessica Jones, and a revived Scott Lang look on.  Meanwhile, the Avengers still want to find/possibly kill Wanda.

Anyway, Billy snaps her out of her madness (which proves surprisingly easy), and they set about figuring out whether she can reverse the damage that she caused.  So they pay a visit to X-Factor in search of depowered mutants to experiment on.  Multiple Man doesn't think this is a good idea, but Rictor volunteers anyway:





The X-Men (Cyclops, Emma Frost, Rogue, Storm, Colossus, Gambit, and Iceman) arrive outside.  Strong Guy doesn't think they look welcoming.

So are they her kids or not? Has that been answered yet? They've been dangling this carrot for nearly 10 years now.

Wanda seems to think they are in this issue, though she wasn't aware of it.

It's been 6 years at most.

Wanda used her magic and seemed to recognize Billy as her son. But I guess the could still be some doubt, maybe she was just recognizing her own magic from that time she healed Billy (before Disassembled, its been speculated that she may have accidentally given him his powers)

My only question is that if they have the souls of her sons, what happened to the original souls of Speed and Wiccan as they are both too old to be her kids reincarnated.

I always figured out they'd been retconned into reality, including their body; from their soul, via subconscious magic from Wanda.

Or possibly some future potential-but-not-inevitable version of Kang did it! Immortus was the one who tried to erase the twins from reality in the first place. He must have then realised he was endangering his own existence because of his teen-aged self's involvement with the Young Avengers as Iron Lad, events he had until then forgotten since his adult-self wiped them. Anyway, long story short, he was forced to toss the twins back into continuity and tried to aim somewhere they'd pose the least threat to him.

Preincarnation?

The way it is said in this issue made me think the lost souls are actually "Billy" and "Tommy" from the start. In my head the one way for a soul to be lost is through death. I'm wondering if we might learn that Billy and Tommy once died, became lost souls, were captured by Wanda's magic, were their babies, then were released and went back to their old lives. Something was kept from their magical incarnation, so they look like each other and have their powers.
But weren't the twins soul shards revealed to be orginally from Mephisto?
I don't know what I'm saying anymore, sorry.
