Really? Now I'm interested. All the complaining about all the shitty stuff going on in Civil War and other Marvel comics put me off trying MU comics, but that sounds really good.

I don't think there are any more shitty stuff in MU than in DCU (iow, there are a lot of shitty stuff - but it doesn't mean there aren't a lot of cool stories nonetheless).

Hehe, no doubt! It's just that I'm already really familiar with the DCU, so having to go through all that again (because of course it's not all fun and games in the DCU) is kind of scary.

Like basically the show lifts stuff like 42 - hey, Reed/Tony/Hank get together and build an extradimensional prison to keep baddies from escaping! - and removes the part where it's an extrajudicial gulag meant for locking up other heroes.

There was other stuff but that in particular stood out to me as something that was pretty good once you remove the awful context it was originally presented in.
