OK, is that a reference to something. I used it as a running gag in something I wrote a while back, now I'm worried I unconsciously swiped it. >_>

It's a fairly old joke, but I remember it from DuckTales!

In the episode where Scrooge tells his great-nephews about his history, there's a running gag where turn-of-the-century folks mistake Scrooge's kilt for a dress, skirt, etc, and Scrooge angrily replies "It's a kilt!". Until the final pay-off, where, obviously, someone correctly identifies it as a kilt, and Scrooge angrily over-reacts: "It's a dress!"

I mean specifically 'it's a tunic' - mistaking a kilt for a skirt is an obvious and common joke, but tunics, not nearly so much, and that's the running gag I used.

Ah, after too long on Google, it is most likely referencing to Hank Azaria playing Kah Mun Rah in A Night At The Museum sequel. Everyone thinks he is wearing a dress, when it is in fact a tunic, height of fashion 3000 years ago.

Hrm. Well, I haven't seen that (and, googling, it seems to have come out after I wrote the story in question), so...guess I couldn't have ripped it off, then. >_>

Oh, yeah, thanks, ace, now I'm imagining Laird MacDoom doing a Highland fling. And mashing some haggis through his grille. And playing a bagpipe. "You take the high road an' I'll take the low road, and I'll crush Richards aforrrre ye...."

I imagine some sort of steam-powered self-playing bagpipe set.

Steam? Steam is the power source of inferior minds the likes of RICHARDS! Doom's bagpipes are played only by by the finest of Latverian Plutonium Vibranium allow. The fact that this is impossible is of no concern of Doom's.

A set of KirbyTech bagpipes would also look terrific! :)
