Greetings True Believers!
In these scans Loki makes a power move, tells what he thinks of prophecies and is off to his next adventure!
Enjoy!
Loki (with the help of Tyr and others) has lied, tricked and killed his way to having Hela and Mephisto forge a secret alliance against the Serpent. Loki and Tyr also killed the Serpent's ambassador to Hell and stole some secrets from him.
It's time to treat with Hela and Mephisto.

Loki tells a scary story about the Serpent from when before he was the God of Fear. Loki has two more tools to acquire. One is in Asgard, the other is in Limbo.
And we're off!

Loki is the best part of this series so far.

Date: 2011-07-14 11:14 am (UTC)Thor might not like it though since he follows the Aesir warrior's code, and to him death in battle and passage to Valhalla is one of the highest honors anyone can receive. Of course Loki cares for none of that and he really rather have his brother alive and with him.

Did anyone took Mephisto seriously in these pages? Cause all I saw was a tool...

Date: 2011-07-14 02:32 am (UTC)No, I see a strategist.
By allowing kidLoki to arrange all these machinations, Mephisto does not have to directly dirty his hands in direct confrontation with the Serpent. He gets a graceful out, and can spoil the plan to his advantage at any time.
Others dance the divine game of life and death, he just sits back and enjoys the show.

Date: 2011-07-14 11:29 am (UTC)Reminded me of this scene in Fear Itself
Loki knows his brother well doesn't he? And I love how everything that he's been doing probably just boils down to Loki manipulating everyone for the purpose of saving Thor. Also him crying after what he saw in Yggdrasil and his talk with Thor while he was imprisoned make a good deal of sense now.
