In these scans are a cute bro moment between Logan and Scott and an amusing scene at the UN.

Scott is going to address the UN on Sentinel disarmament and asks Logan to come with him as his one-man security team and "token Avenger".

They talk on the way to the podium.



Awww, they might as well have hugged and held hands.

Scott talks about how much the Sentinels suck and how everyone should get rid of the ones they have and the world leaders say either they don't have them or just tell Scott to pound sand.

Then suddenly!



Kid Omega puts a telepathic whammy on the whole room. The results are interesting.




Someone sics Sentinels on the boys, they trash them and leave. This event spurs the various nations to reveal their robot forces and sparks another arms race. The lurkers behind these events are apparently a new Hellfire Club.

There's also the point that if mutants are a race, they're a race that (at least until Decimation) any of your kids could randomly turn out to belong to, since the vast majority of mutant births were to normal human parents. Is it even possible to be racist against your own child?

Plenty of parents worry (or worse) about their children being gay. I'm sure that's equitable to having your child suddenly be a mutant.

Sure, you can be bigoted against your own child. But can you be racist?

Not in the conventional circumstances, per se, which is why i think some writers did clutch the 'mutants=gay people' analogy for a while. Given the original X-Kids were all under Xavier's care, we never really saw an examination of that under Jack and Stan's tenure.

Actually that's the reason I've always thought mutants could be better compared with gays . They can be born in any family in any culture in any country...

Yes.

There's certainly been a lot of biracial children, in the History of the US alone, who were treated as chattel by one of their parent.
