Fear Itself rages, Paris is crushed and Iron Man needs help.
So he turns to Odin and his own oldest skill.
Tony needs to make some weapons.
(Even in Asgard, they must adhere to OSHA standards!)
Tony convinces Odin to help him build weapons to challenge the Serpent's Hammers.
Odin whisks him (still drunk) to the workshops of Svartalfheim where weapons such as Mjolnir were forged.
Tony meets up with the boss dwarf and tries to explain what he wants to build. Dwarf-dude isn't awed.
Tony tries a brain-storming session/staff meeting. It does not go well. But they get to work anyway.
Goes to show, the only way to gain the respect of Dwarves, Asgardians and the like is walk up to them and bust them in the chops.

Date: 2011-07-21 02:19 am (UTC)The Dwarf King trying to intimidate Tony by pointing out his many accomplishments, such as forging Mjolnir, and Tony replying by boasting himself about the multiple high-tech weapons he's designed. Because that would likely get the Dwarves' respect.
Still, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes did "Tony visits the Dwarves and forges a new Armor" a lot better.
