Honestly, I can't figure out why people have such trouble characterizing wonderwoman. DCAU countinues to hit it out of the park. Also this comic is cute.

Honestly, I found most of her appearances in the DCAU to be rather unmemorable or bland. Vanilla heroism. Although the movie was rather good I thought, even though "ugh Men so stupid" attitude always annoys the shit out of me. It was like, "Ah, finally, she has a personality! She even made a joke with decent comical delivery!"

I think people are more in love with the idea of Wonder Woman then the actual character.

There are several great directors who were willing to do it (Joss Whedon got tapped for the Avengers, for god's sake), but no studio exec trusts the property to make money.

I'm glad this is a low-quality grab, because seeing a turd more clearly just lets you know how grossed out you should be.

Also, I just shake my head at a WW chasing down crooks on foot. She has the strength to Hulk-leap, you idiots, forgetting the fact that modern canon has her flying. But again, nobody wanted to do anything but remake the Linda Carter series and cash some easy checks.

I think I figured out what is wrong with the "tits" scene: it's so contrived. The audience is supposed to feel for her and say, "Look! She's just like us! She's insecure about her body! And she says 'tits' too! Yay!"

But I just look at her (and note, I would feel this way about any character saying these lines) and think, "Oh look at you, the writers are trying to make you stand up against The Man. I feel so bad for you with your 'imperfect' hair and boobs and teeth and your pure white, virginal suit."

I'm going out on a limb here and saying that the screenwriter was a guy, not a girl, because this feels like something men would think women would like.

I wish DC would stop being such punks about Wondy getting any media though. No cartoon, no games, not even any much merch lately. Maybe if they acted like she existed, then people just might realize she does indeed exist still.

Ugh this is terrible. She seems angry all the time. I disagree with the commenter who said the fight scenes were good. The scene where she fought the 20 guys was fine until they started with the weirdness. Killing the guy is not right. And also I can't believe they had her grabbing people around the NECK with her lasso. She'd kill them with that kind of force. I know WW didn't shy away from killing Maxwell Lord when she had to, but I don't think she'd off people quite so callously.

Shame they didn't have the budget to get the rest of her top. Seriously, that boob-smash thing looks painful. And why is she so angry? (Although I suppose she does have reason, if this was the best anyone could do as far as doing a live-action TV show for her)

The Good: Fight scene. Awesome. She handed these guys their ass. Actress portraying her isn't bad. She has the look. Also the hospital scene did show her compassionate side.

The Bad: Killing the guard with a pipe. Not WW's style. I can see her as someone who will kill as a last resort, but to just do so casually..no. Also didn't get the deal with her sticking a needle in that guy she was chasing. Was she taking his blood? Also as much as I don't think the actress is bad..her voice..idk..doesn't seem like much of a match for the character, but that's minor for me.

The Ugly: Tits. Wonder Woman going on about tits and being vulgar...prime example of mischaracterization, the likes of which lead to this show being sunk.

So, that's the infamous pilot.

Well, it's about what I expected. The clip of the street chase seems...weird. Like the wire work and 'super speed' doesn't work as well visually as they'd hoped. It's a little too...Xena, I guess. The fight scene with the 20 guys? That's pretty well executed, even if she's aping Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. (side note: a Wilhelm Scream here? Really?)

The 'lawyering up' comment? WTF? Do the writers know anything about American jurisprudence at all? If Wonder Woman is acting as a vigilante, then she's liable for harming him. If she's acting as an agent of the police or federal government (as any decent lawyer would easily argue), then she's bound by the same rules. That whole sequence is problematic because it calls such attention to that detail....as does the torture scene at the hospital.

That scene fails for a couple of reasons. One, they have her talking like a tough cop, but it's just hard to swallow. I kept staring at her boobs in that scene, as they were center-shot, especially when she leaned over. Worse, some of the stuff she was saying was really, really ugly. I mean, they have her talking like Keifer Sutherland in '24' throughout these clips...and then having her whine about how her action figure is too idealized. It doesn't seem like the same character in one clip to the other.

This isn't exactly bad...it's just unfocused. It feels like they've chosen to emphasize parts of Wonder Woman's character that don't interest me, personally. I don't necessarily mind the alternate version, per se. I mean, at least here we see a Wonder Woman BEING an actual superhero in the classic sense. She's chasing a bad guy, she does the punchy-punchy and there's the implication that there are super-powered people out there (though of course budget limits come into play, as always). This had the potential to become something I would have enjoyed, I think.

Some day someone will come up with a decent vehicle for Wonder Woman. Just not today, apparently.

Holy. Freaking. Crap. Am I ever glad that this didn't get picked up. Who the hell is that woman in the Wonder Woman-"inspired" costume and what did she do to Diana?!

I could only see the tumblr clip (the others were removed from the site they were hosted on), but I didn't like it. The idea of a Wonder Woman tv series sounded so cool at first, but the execution... just doesn't look like it would have been up to snuff, based on what limited material I have seen/read of the pilot. Sigh.
