Gone, but never forgotten
May. 14th, 2009 02:20 pmDeadpool, having had the shit beaten out of him by the Punisher and his new tentacle of doom (which I predict will make appearances in any number of disturbing slashfics from here on out), runs for asylum to Outlaw's place, to find her with a new haircut but the same willingness to tolerate him and let him bleed on her carpet. And her chest. And her couch.
Currently, she's trying to find out what happened, and Deadpool is, well... delirious:
I, for one, squeed.
Is it just me, or have they yet to do a "Bea Arthur is dead" reaction scene for Deadpool? I demand one, right here, right now. Let's get some pathos!

Date: 2009-05-14 01:30 pm (UTC)I still hold out hope that someone will write Deadpool as grieving for Bea.

Date: 2009-05-14 03:20 pm (UTC)Then again, not being in the biz proper, I really have no idea how long it takes for a comic to come into being, so perhaps 3 weeks is still too early.

Date: 2009-05-14 04:46 pm (UTC)Is it a new haircut? I thought Outlaw always had short hair.
More to the point, d'awww. How much do I love that in place of an attractive young woman in a thong, Deadpool sees Bea Arthur? Words cannot express.

Date: 2009-05-16 09:42 am (UTC)I frankly can't get enough of the guy. I went to the LCS and it turns out neither can a whole lot of people -- his entire series was sold out except for issue #7. I was lucky to be able to pick this up!
The scene with the waitress is hilarious -- mostly the drawing he did they find of her; and when Outlaw opens the door wearing a Giants shirt and he thinks... "Oh the irony." I don't think I've ever thrown my head back and laughed so hard while reading a comic book.
I feel like they could and should get away with as much cheesecake as they want in Deadpool books coz a) he's a pervert and b) there's so much more of a sense of humour about it.
