I don't mind that I permanently associate everything by Billy Idol with Spike from Buffy, or every song of the big band genre with Steve Rogers. Or Tron lines with the Kingdom Hearts games, and thereby Sora/Riku/Kairi OT3. But I *don't*, actually, want to associate the music from Anastasia with Bruce having a psychological break from reality. .....Despite that, I would totally draw this scene if I was better at drawing men, or just better at drawing in general. (I mean, I could draw Steph and Babs and Cass just fine, although Babs' chair might need some references. Tim is girly enough to BS my way through pretty easy, and I could probably struggle my way through Dick and Jay with some reference pictures. But I don't think I could do Bruce himself justice *at all*, and I've never been good at drawing individuals as young as Damian, they just turn out looking like tiny adults, which ends up looking kind of Uncanny Valley at times. Plus I'm rubbish at foreshortening and related aspects of perspective when pertaining to posing humans in even remotely complicated ways - I seriously need to get one of those little posable wooden dollies they have at Michael's - and my backgrounds aren't much better. In short, if you desperately want to see this drawn, can't find anyone willing who has any skill at all, and don't mind that it looks like it was drawn by someone who hasn't taken a drawing class since she was fifteen, please feel free to contact the lady whose only formal drawing class actually was when she was fifteen and whose teacher despaired of her apparently horrifying tendency to use mechanical pencils for linework unless required to use proper sketching materials, aka me. Because dammit, my mind is already laying out the storyboard without my consent when I should be finishing re-reading the material for a small online review quiz I need to take sometime in the next twenty-five hours. >_< Haaaaate.)

Wow. Lol seriously very sorry, but that song poped into my head as I was thinking that. And I haven't seen that movie in' AAAGES! I have images in my head too. Lol. If you want to do it be my guest. Id try it my self but i'm rubbish at comedic images. Or if you know someone. Either way. Now I kinda really wanna see this on paper.

Gah! It's okay, really, but I'm going to need to make sure I don't watch that movie for the next year or so. I'll just watch Mulan instead if I get the urge to see Anastasia again before the association fades enough to not make me think of Batman instead.

One of my friends from undergrad can draw and likes Batman, but my grad school is in the Midwest and hers is on the East Coast, so I haven't seen her in person in forever and would feel majorly awkward suggesting drawing this scene. Plus, it might mentally scar her for life. It would feel even more awkward to suggest it to any artists I've spoken with online, considering that most conversations with them basically amount to me flailing over their far superior artwork and its hilarity or adorableness or whatever, and them thanking me. And I'm rubbish at comedic images too, I'm just tempted to try anyways. I mean, I have that assignment I have to finish tomorrow, and I am working this weekend... but only five hours each Saturday and Sunday... Hm. *evil grin* If it turns out, I'll stick it on DeviantArt, send you a link, and put a link in the summary whatnot to your written out scene here. If it doesn't turn out... it doesn't turn out. Might be a while, even if it does turn out, though. I'm notoriously easily distracted when it comes to things like this.

Yes, Billy Idol. Find a picture of Billy Idol. Then find a picture of Spike. Look at them side by side. Then read this quote from the Buffy episode "Sleeper":
Bouncer: Hey, sweetheart. If you wanna go in, go ahead.
Buffy: Oh, uh, actually, I need some help. I'm looking for this guy. Bleach-blonde hair, leather jacket, British accent? Kind of sallow, but in a hot way?
Bouncer: Yeah, yeah, I know the guy. Billy Idol wannabe?
Buffy: Actually, Billy Idol stole his look from—never mind. Has he been here?
Also, James Marsters, Spike's actor, sings. Quite well. His singing voice is really very sexy, imho. >/////< Actually, for that matter, listen to a Billy Idol song, and then a James Marsters song. Depending on what songs of each you pick, you might hear some slight degree of similarity - for example, Idol's "Dancing with Myself" vs. Marsters' "Bad".

Please do try to find a better artist than me. Also, I agree you should totally amuse as many other people on tumblr with the scene as you can, even if none of them draw.

You like Mulan, too? Yay! And... Actually, I took some very basic voice lessons during undergrad as elective classes, just because I could. We'd perform a song with a pianist accompanying once or twice during the term as our exams. Guess what I picked to perform as one of my pieces (if I recall correctly, the final exam performance of the second and last of the classes I took)? Yep. Utterly gorgeous song, don't know that I really did it justice, but I gave it my all. (And, regardless, it was certainly an improvement over the one performance I did the first term, when I came close enough to fainting that a friend of mine had actually stood up to catch me. God, that was embarrassing. But I still finished my performance, which is something, right? I'm sure it gave my poor accompanist quite a fright, though. >_<)
