 Saw this awesome parody, my opinion of course, of the Super Friends answering the question in the title and decided to share it here if anyone is interested. Can be found here, just giving warning that the video contains gruesome violence, superhero-dickery and inappropriate behaviour towards Robin. For legality, below is a scan of the JLA, the league of gods to be exact, being the awesome team they really were.

I like how the first panel shows Bruce aloof from the group, but the last panel has him holding Clark's hand to go flying.

And Wondy's armpitting Wally, even though he could get there faster by running. And Kyle's being plain lazy, since he could just whip up a platform or bubble construct for all the non-flyers on the team.

Pssht, he's just giving Wally and Bruce an excuse to be held by Diana and Clark respectively. Kyle is such a good bro.

I actually started like Wally a lot more for giving Kyle a hard time whenever they were around each other. Maybe just because kyle because just was kind of one of those charachters whose personality I did not like.

That said Kyle>Wally West imo just being a green lantern instantly makes you a better character then being a Flash imo But they are both good characters.

Oddly enough, that was only a scootch more violent than what actually happened to them in the comics, so...

Such a foolish mistake on my part, don't know what I was thinking. Out of curiosity, though, what did happen to them in the comics?

Wonder Dog turned out to be a hell hound and mauled them both terribly. Marvin died, and Wendy survived, but in a wheelchair. Can't remember how the Titans took down the demon dog, but they did.

I suspect that the impetus for many comic book plots over the last decades has been, "How would Mad Magazine have parodied the Gold/Silver/Bronze age."

Wonder dog was all, "Hey, guess what you guys? I'm like, totally a demon! Om nom nom!"

And Wendy and Marvin were all, "Oh no! Our organs! Our tender bits! Why are you doing this! Why isn't anyone stopping this, seeing as we live in A GODDAMN HOUSE FULL OF GODDAMN SUPER HEROES?!"

And the Titans were all, "Man, there is nothing good on tv."

Then Wonder Girl finally noticed that Marvin was dead and Wendy was mauled into a coma somehow. Cassie then learned to believe in herself, punched out Wonder Dog, and got a new sweater to congratulate herself.

Then I stopped reading Titans for a while.
