Can you spot the subtle difference between JLA covers

Newsarama has posted the final cover to Jim Lee's JLA #1 which isn't quite the same as the originally released version.

I have to say, whilst it IS nice to see Wonder Woman at the front, the collar makes it look like she's wearing a bow tie, a look which can look absolutely delightful on some woman, but doesn't quite work for Diana.

i actually like the second cover... i don't mind the choker... just not that design, as you said, it makes it look like a vauge bow tie

the final cover would not be so bad if the cut in the shorts was different. (actually the second image would be even better if the cut was SLIGHTLY different too.

As ever I wish someone, somewhere could get DC past its pants/no pants obsession to consider making any of these new costumes for her actually look any fucking good at all, regardless of whether or not it involves pants.

Y'know who else should ditch the whole "pants" thing? Aquaman. There is seriously no good reason for him to wear pants. Also, he should go back to the scoop neck. He needs to be showing a lot more Aqua-skin.


And the Green Lantern needs a belly shirt.

In the variant cover, all the guys look like they're seriously pissed off, and Diana looks like she's turning tricks. (Although, I kind of like what Finch has done with her top, and the trim on it.)

The pants were better. All those men completely covered up and the lone woman in a (skimpy) bathing suit -- subtle, DC, very subtle.

The problem with the shorts isn't that they're shorts, it's that they are so short that there's only room for two stars!

She's supposed to be star-spangled! It's strange that her pants have plenty of room for stars, but there are none to be found, not even sparkle things like Donna Troy sometimes wears.

Pants, no pants--either way, I'm fine with the new costume. All I really care about at this point is good stories with the character.

Though I do want to see a drawing of Diana with the 11th Doctor, both rocking bow ties. :D

My ideal is actually something like this Donna costume



But with a skirt that actually comes down to just above her knee so y'know, we can't see her arse and vagoo and it protects her thighs. Just a thought.

Gotta admit, though, I kinda like how Batman's holding up his cape. It looks like he's about to curtsy or something. And check out the angle of his hand...or really, all the hands. The longer I look, the creepier it gets.

That said, I might find it in myself to forgive them if they give us some decent Diana stories and don't screw up her characterisation. Hell, we've put up with the bathing suit this long.

It annoys me greatly how people complain about her wearing pants. The fuck difference does it make if she wears pants or not? I personally have no problem with her wearing pants and liked the look. I like her original look too of course, but seriously I just want a kickass Wonder Woman who is the warrior with compassion.
