Optimus dying in a computer game, and being rebooted from a 5" floppy disk was in the American comic. As was Ratchet and Megatron fusing together.

The Marvel UK material was characterized by better writing, better developed characters, and much better art. It was essentially stuff that was produced because in the UK, Transformers was a weekly comic, so they didn't always have US stuff to reprint.

And it has become my abiding memory of Transformers. Not the cartoon, not the US comic stuff, and certainly not the godawful movies.
