Could be worse. I saw someone else on another forum assume, from the text above, that this meant that Rose was an alien!

It's just . . . how old is Rose supposed to be in this? Is she still in her teens? Why would she have responsibility over Superboy, then? Why would she be given responsibility?

Lobdell did say (though I didn't believe him and still take anything with a grain of salt) that the Titans would continue as if the book hadn't ended at 100, so the anvilicious flirting between Rose and Conner will apparently be a 'keeper'. Though, since this Conner doesn't seem much like the one Rose is attracted to at present, I wonder whether she's somehow responsible for his going N.O.W.H.E.R.E., and whether she's once again involved with the Teen Titans?

Yesterday I finally sat down with my Old-School-DC-loving husband, out of the range of our children, and went over the last three years' worth of DC reboots. I just hit the high points, including:

the white power zombies,

the "Sex in the City" Wonder Woman TV series,

the "Wonder Woman is too scary because she intimidates men" argument ("But she's supposed to intimidate men!" he replied),

the innocent powerless Diana/hardened monster warrior Diana with no sign of the original Diana's incredible strength of moral character,

the Flashpoint "environmentalists fight feminists and destroy Britain in the process, and finally

the no married superheroes at all, either erase them, kill them or turn them evil bit.

He thought for a moment and said, "Wow. They're really hard up for the disenfranchised low-IQ white male audience, aren't they? But how do they expect them to be able to afford comic books in a recession?"

IDK. People have been trying to explain to him for years that he should be turned off by smart, strong, sassy women. He just doesn't "get" it.

Actually, now that I think about it, the solicits say something about Superboy finding a mysterious and beautiful alien...

And the other character on the cover could be a White Martian, looking at it. Perhaps DC are trying to capitalise on the Young Justice stuff quicker than they usually do with shows and licensed stuff.

Yeah--and the way that they're having these N.O.W.H.E.R.E. folks jack Superboy up like they do is probably not just to give him a fresh new direction for the relaunch, but to give him a personality more similar to the Superboy on Young Justice.

I hope they keep Superboy with his Tactile TK if they give him Sups powers. I always liked that he wasn't quite "right" and his flight/invulnerability were based on a mental power such as his "Touchdown" ability....

...... NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! Rose Wilson? Really Rose Wilson!?! ROSE FREAKING WILSON!?!?! Doesn't DC keep some of their old comics for cross-reference and bring out characters from Superboy's LAST series? I mean, Serling Roquete? Tana Moon? Roxy Leech? NONE of them deserve to be rebooted too? It's bad enough they been written out of current continuity, but they're not worth to be in the new one... if some cocky new writer makes a meta-parody that has Superboy's cast members being limbo and be labeled or portrayed as loser, I am going to go to a Con said writer is at and punch him the face!
