The solicitation for November's Captain America and Bucky #624, and four scans from Captain America and Bucky #620, which came out a few weeks ago.

 

Previously in Brubaker Captain America-land, Matt Fraction borrowed Bucky for his event and killed him. I was on the record at the time as saying that the way Brubaker's story left off, there was no way it was meant to be Bucky's final story; among things, Captain America and Bucky was launching, which we were told was not going to be an all-flashback title, even if the first arc was sort of a "Year One" thing. That's Ed McGuinness's cartoony style. Which I really don't think suits the tone of this book at all, personally.

am i the only person who's having trouble with teenage!bucky after seeing the cap movie and perving on adult!bucky? because movie!bucky would laugh himself silly at the thought of that costume.

Unfortunately, having seen movieBucky on Gossip Girl, taking him seriously AT ALL was difficult! I like the idea that the one character who was always supposed to stay dead is now among those who cannot die!

HM but I like the art in the issues and I've been following it for my mourning of Bucky, so.... Carry on!

It could be some kind of double flashback, or the last panel reveal is Steve listening to Bucky on a tape recorder, or one of those dang LMDs that have all your memories.

But I generally haven't believed Bucky would stay dead longer than this arc.

I am torn between "Yay not dead Bucky plus Natasha!" and "AIEEEEGH that is the LEAST SEXY and possibly least anatomically proper Bucky and Natasha I have EVER SEEN".
