 Wow, I did not mean to have three posts in one day. Sorry about that. Anywhere, here is the variant cover for the new Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, showcasing Miles Morales in the new black-and-reds.

The composition of the cover meant my initial reaction was: cool - the new spidey and...does he have a pigeon in his mask?

You know, secret identity issues aside, that would be a brilliant idea.

Plus they could do the comedy stuff where he sees a robbery or something, quickly puts the mask back on and as he's swinging down he thinks to himself, "Yup, the sandwich was still in the mask. Just hope none of the mustard gets in my eyes like last time."

I personally liked the way he was drawn in Ultimate Fallout 4..and I kinda liked his spidey suit there too.

The one in Fallout #4 looked cool, like a cheap, modern version of the original, but I like that Miles has his own, unique costume.

Don't be so hard on the kid. He's just carrying on the Ultimate!Peter Parker tradition of being really bad at hiding his secret identity. It's practically a requirement of taking the costume at this point.

I love Pichelli art. I'm seriously considering picking this book up just for her.

Ultra-picky graphic design point: I hate that the red rules on the cover design go over the image. Very distracting, and diminishes the image a bit. Would much prefer to see the rules go behind the foreground (ie the buildings, the pigeon on the left, Spiderman's left hand etc).
Also: black Spiderman has a black costume? Really? Nice design, but a bit on the nose, isn't it?
