Well, MODOK's mentally depleted (Superior's a clone) and they would've just invited Monica Rappaccini, but then the Mad Thinker would've found a way to work Rappaccini's Daughter references into every other sentence.

Aw, you make me think that Henchmen 21 and 24 from Venture Bros would be fun to have there.

Also the last time someone was amazed at being so cool as to be in a room with Doom and other big villains, he got hospitalized. Poor Taskmaster.

I'm sorry but i can't take the scene all too seriously when one of the guys has a big red door handle on his forehead.

That said, i think i've really missed alot of the fantastic four continuity. Doom is pretty much in charge now? (i'll admit, it's the fantastic four movies that made me lose interest in the fantastic four. that and reed richards who i'm surprised to hear is now a villain. that's almost enough to tempt me into starting fantastic four again) xD

I think you have a few things mixed up here...

First about Reed as a villain. Either you are thinking of Ultimate Marvel where he is a villain now or you missed the fact that there are three other Reeds from other realities running around 616 now. These Reeds are the ones who see themselves are serving a good much larger than any one person and so will sacrifice whatever to do what they think is right.

Second, Doom joined the Future Foundation (the new Fantastic Four) at the request of Valeria and Nathanial Richards (Reed's dad). He is not in charge but because they are about to go to war with three evil Reed Richards they are deferring to him as he's been fighting Reed for years.

Of course the fact that none of these villains has succeeded in fighting Reed hasn't been mentioned.

That does seem to be a bit of flaw in the plan, doesn't it?

"We need to defeat a whole bunch of Reed Richards. We have assembled a team of villains who have all lost to our Reed countless times. They shal be led by Doctor Doom, the world'd leading expert in the field of losing to Richards."

If Doom and the rest can't beat one Reed who plays nice, how can he beat a bunch of them that don't?

Doom has defeated Reed (and everybody else who matters) a number of times, he's allowed Reed to live so that he can laugh at him, out of boredom, and simple overconfidence(depending on the story).

If he wanted to just kill him, he probably could do it, and in a number of different ways, depending on which of his stories is in continuity right now. He's a good resource on this mission.

This is very true. Of all the villains present, he's the one I'd worry the most about, perchance to monologue and all.

I've been digging FF, but...c'mon....this Future Foundation is INFINITELY more interesting!

And will be continuing as its own series once FF goes back to F4 in November by the looks of things.

It probably is. Especially with Spidey in it (Spidey has always been awesome to me...needless to say, i've not read One More Day or any of the stuff after it but i've heard about how awful it all is and about the massive level of mary sue that Carlie Cooper is...hmmm, looking back at it, i think relationship sue might be more accurate)

Eitherway, i'll give it a try to see if i like the comic. (Future Foundation)

One More Day was pretty bad, but there's been a ton of great Spider-man stories since then, under the Brand New Day banner. Carlie Cooper or no, it's a good time to be reading Amazing Spider-man.

Yeah, i'm aware of the good spidey stories. It's just that after One More Day, it's hard to think of 616 Spidey as anyone other than "that guy who sold his marriage to the devil for someone who actually wanted them to let her die (Aunt May)" Carlie and her appearances is a constant reminder of that and it tends to ruin the story for me. That and her looks are constantly inconsistent which makes her almost unrecognisable until someone points out who it is. It's part of the reason that i only read the Ultimate Spiderman books these days. Though that's just how i see things. I'd gladly read any 616 Spidey book if Carlie isn't there and Spidey himself isn't acting like an idiot. I just ain't sure which ones they are.
