That's what I assumed. Too bad none of this ever happened. I liked it quite a lot. Conner was living Clark's life, but with the twist that the outcome wasn't predetermined as the original Superboy series was, since it actually told the story of Clark's childhood. Then again, I'm in the minority in that the Cadmus/Hawaii era didn't interest me at all, and that's the ersion they'll be doing in September.

A little of both I think, they know they don't need to worry about maintaining the current sense of dramatic continuity, so they can afford to have warm, fuzzy, touching moments of awesomeness without fear of having to follow them up.

I like how he's all sad about about his clone bros here, but over in Teen Titans the Boy of Steel is all about killing his clones.


Man, I really liked this supporting cast. It's a little sad that the original run isn't mentioned more, but past that this was really fun. Simon Valentine was one of my new favorite characters recently.

Well... there still the reboot... the one with Rose "Ravager" Wilson being part of a Genetic Lab project.... I swear to God, if they make him into animated YJ Superboy, I am going to write SUCH a rant...

I really hope that Rose doesn't take Tana's role as newborn Superboy's first girlfriend from the lab.

Wouldn't that have been Rocy Leech, not Tana? I know they eventually agreed on "sort-sibling friendship" but Roxy (and her dad Rex) were major players in Superboys first stories.

That was Serling, Tana was his first friend/girlfriend that he meet OUTSIDE the lab...

He wasn't there to kill Conner. As I suspected from the start his target was Simon.

I think I'll miss this Superboy series the most, followed perhaps by Zatanna. His previous series was OK, but nowhere near as good as this save a few highlights here and there. I loved his supporting cast, too.

If one good thing came of this, it's that the universe rebooted before Simon was turned evil (which was bound to happen sooner or later, I think)

I'll give the book some credit, in spite of hardly talking about Conner's past adventures, they do end on a note. COnner did try to live his life like a party when he wasn't crime busting... so yeah, reflecting on a childhood seemed like something he needed.
