You know what this reminds me of? Superman: The Movie, where he finds out Lois died while stopping all of Luthor's missiles. He's shocked, horrified...and he flies away to change the course of human history so that she can live.

That's rather clever.

Silly as that was I love that moment for the simple refusal of reality. He's the goddam Superman! No way he's going to let something as silly as a missile or time take Lois freakin' Lane away from him!

The moment itself wasn't silly, the execution was. The utter denial and rage were a splendid portrayel of the human, emotional side of Superman, the 'sleeping giant' syndrome.

But I suppose they couldn't end that movie with Superman throwing Lex Luthor into the sun.

I also think his reaction sells it for me--it's a silly way to fix things, but when you see the pain on his face, you're right with him wanting him to set things right.

.... i really like Tom Welling... Christopher Reeve IS superman to me... but Tom Welling is the "Boy who became superman" and the last few seasons i DID see "Superman" in the Boy...

Tom Welling was certainly heading there, but I'd have wanted a few scenes of him as Superman doing the whole PUBLIC heroing inspirational bit to be completely won over.

George Reeves.

Also Dean Cain managed to get through like a hundred episodes without roofie-kissing Lois, so he's got that on C.R.

Aah, Lois and Clark. I watched that show almost religeously when I was a wee lad. Terri Hatcher is still who I think of when I picture Lois Lane.

George Reeves I only really saw AFTER Christopher Reeve, so he never had that much of an impact on me.

Dean Cain I'll give you though, for a given value of Superman-ness! :)

Bonus points if Flashpoint ends when Clark flies around the world really fast.

I'm sure he's going to be with the entire "Justice League" of the Flashpoint Universe trying to fix the universe into what we'll see in the New 52.
