Greetings True Believers!

This book continues to knock it out of the park.

Odin vs. Galactus, the continuing adventures of Li'Loki and Pastor Mike!

Odin and the big G are going at it and Odin decides he's had enough.

That's right, Odin just HEADBUTTED Galactus, Destroyer of Worlds. Metal!

Meanwhile as the SS collects Thor and Sif, Odin and Galactus fall to Earth and Volstagg gathers the Brigade of Realms to face Pastor Mike. Loki is up to something.

Loki steals the Galactus Seed from the Destroyer armor and goes to the World Tree root.

Mmmh, when was the last time Loki uttered those words?

The Surfer tries to convince Galactus to leave as Odin enters the Odinsleep from his wounds but G is determined to have that seed.

Volstagg and PM face off but are interrupted by the arrival of Galactus. Pastor Mike is astonished and Volstagg explains what Galactus is.

PM: "What am I seeing?"

V: "That thing is the plague of worlds, small friend of Jesus. A kind of parasite that feasts on planets. Unstoppable. Unknowable. Insatiable. Much like myself, were I to--"

PM "It's a man?"

V: "Maybe once he was like a man. But more of a force of nature than anything. A god of oblivion."

PM: "That's enough, then. If he was a man once...that's enough."

He starts marching toward Galactus. A towns-person warns him away.

PM: "Of course it's terrifying. And I am terrified. But I am not worried. I have heard the Good News and Christ is in my heart.""

Pastor Mike has some stones. Not much sense but stones.

didn't thor injure Galactus before this fight and Odin was just putting his all into it?

What gets me is Odin has been put down HARD by Galactus-like figures before (the Celestials), and that was with a thousand years' prep for the fight. I think he was doing well, holding his own, as long as he made the arena a battle of wills, but once he lost his cool and things got physical he really bit off more than he could chew.

The Celestials are far more powerful than Galactus.

Galactus is at the peak of our measurements, the Celestials are off of the scales.

Eh, my impression over the years has been the reverse, that Galactus exceeds any single Celestial in power. Though to be fair to Odin there were a number of them in that big brawl in Thor #300 where he and the Eternals had their asses handed to them.
