The positive: I never had much (i.e. any) investment in Green Lantern, so this doesn't cause me physical pain to read like some of the other crap that the reboot has generated.

I appreciate your opinion, but they don't "get on my nerves" at all. I don't remember there being many (four?) and the first was a few weeks (?) ago. They seem to me to be cross-postings of really in-depth topics of direct relevance to fans of the comic book medium, and the legality scans have tied in nicely. I wouldn't mind seeing one now and then.

That picture never gets old. And by "never" I mean just the opposite. Seriously, you're starting to resemble the one kid in high school who tells a funny joke and, seeing that everyone laughed, keeps on telling it over and over again till everyone's rolling their eyes.

For my part, it's someone not in the scans_daily fandoms, and the expression doesn't match the caption. Instead of blinding red rage, that gaping-while-slightly-smiling look suggests "DAT ASS" instead. Maybe it's a rasslin thing, so I wouldn't understand? I wouldn't mind seeing something different for a change, but please definitely do what you like.

Well, it's actually from an out-of-character interview with the guy; it was selected as his look of shocked amazement that the company someone was asking about did something that amazingly stupid. I do have the "cluster fuck you" image from one of Seanbaby's MMA articles on cracked.com that I was using when something about the reboot was so bad that I couldn't find *anything* positive to say about it, but sometimes, that just doesn't feel right. (Hence my coming up with Joel-era "good thing and a bad thing"-type positive things about any use of this one.)

I have no idea who it is in the image, nor do I know the context of it, so it basically means nothing to me. I don't have a problem with you using it , but without the context I just sort of find it repetitive and a touch dull.

I admit, I probably ran it into the ground during the period when we were getting news every few days, so I plan to cut back on its use. Anyone got a good comics-based "facepalm" icon I could add to my collection, so I could just use that and say something other like "Oy, fuck this company..." when it's not something so bad that it causes utter burning rage, instead?

(Shinya Aoki's "cluster fuck you" will remain, however, the image of choice when I get to the point of vomiting plasma in my anger...)

i have no problem with that :D i do think it was run a "bit" into the ground, but as an icon showing utter disgust, i agree... (though something about the eyes and the glasses make me feel... Squicky.... when i see that... honestly couldn't tell you what it is...lol)
