I couldn't wait for this issue and when it finally arrived, all I can say is "what? That's iiiiiiiiiiit?!" Not that there isn't plenty happening - there is - but I just want more and when do I want it? NOW!

My slashgoggles are tingling. I sense potential (non-canon, of course) OTP.

Apollo, while not as pretty as I remember, is at least somewhat nicer looking than on the cover. I approve.

How about some actual character development instead of trying to sell us on how XTREME AND VIOLENT these characters are. The childish excesses of Stormwatch are why i'm leery of folding them into mainstream DC to begin with.

Also, I cannot buy J'onn as a member of Stormwatch because he doesn't work as a greasy 90's anti 'hero'- which is all Stormwatch has ever been, and it looks like they're sticking with that here.

Warren Ellis' run on Stormwatch had a whole lot more to it than 90s anti-heroics for their own sake. Quite a few themes and stories that weren't all that far from his 'Planetary' stuff. IMO.

Well, those characters are and always were X-treme and violent, especially Midnighter. Apollo actually got plenty of develompent in this issue - we already know he wants to fight "petty crime", doesn't consider himself a hero, doesn't want to be a part of Stormwatch and doesn't oppose killing.

Personally the whole child molester thing bothers me. IDK but I have to wonder what level of molestation that was at for Apollo to kill the guy, who was essentially helpless against mister 'one of the most powerful people in the world'.
