BleedingCool.com has the image of those who will fight the Worthy.

Same images, now without the silhouette.

Edit: Image fixed.

Ok... I will say it. Not impressed. It had potential (could have gone with Spidey's bulletproof/stealth suits hybrid). And Logan just looks awful. I thought Jewel would have been the other sword-maiden.

The designer's weren't even trying. You've got a rich history of alternate-universe costumes to look up. I just hope this ends quickly.

Looks like dwarf-forged powerup trumps remote manipulations of Agamotto for Danny, there.

(And man, him with a chain weapon just seems off somehow.. I'd've expected him to get a set of really great gloves and boots. Plus, it looks like they just looked at the Absorbing Man's hammer and went " Let's just do that, but smaller. ")

Really? The chain whip is one of the hardest martial weapons to master, but can be a real beast when used well.

I take it as both following Danny's theme well, while also giving him a powerful weapon that's more than just a sword or hammer.

I bet Dr. Strange would go the Harry Dresden route and play a barbarian instead of a wizard or cleric. "Sounds too much like my day job."

They'd have to keep Hawkeye from playing an archer, because he'd keep complaining about the rules or bad die rolls. "I could totally pull that shot off in real life!"

What really boggles me is how they've waited for this until the last damn issue.

Six straight issues of the Serpent and the Worthy roflstomping their way across the Marvel U, and we're supposed to buy some last-minute powerups turning everything around in one? There won't even be enough page space for interesting Mighty vs. Worthy fights unless the last issue is mega huge or something.

I'm glad people who aren't Steve are getting some spotlight time. It's about time women (who aren't evil Nazis) got to do something in this event. Unfortunately no PoC, unless that's Rhodey.

That is...

I expected much better. I expected something with proper armour equally protecting by genres(aka get rid of those stupid cleavages) perhaps a bit in the vein of a an Iron Man/Spider Man costume meld much like Spidey's Tron's costumes. Something which gave the feel of an armour but still allowed for art variations and personalizations.

That's not an ineffective way of inflicting massive damage. I'd quite like to see her do it.

Actually, it's perfectly reasonable to carry an axe like that around in that way. With no counterweight on the end of the haft, it would be awkward to carry it in the same way you'd wield it. (Also, less chance of sticking the sharp end into a comrade by accident. I just hope she has plenty of space when she starts twirling it around.)

I'm wondering about this whole power-up thing anyway. I mean, glowy unbreakable uru bling is nice and all, but it's not as if Tony has the power and expertise to actually enchant any of it like Odin did for Mjolnir. What exactly makes this better than tricking everyone out with adamantium, which he would presumably have access to on earth (along with facilities to put actual hi-tech mechanisms he knows something about inside it all)?

It might be moderately useful for Strange, since uru supposedly holds enchantments well and Odin has used implements made of it in the past to more easily focus his powers. But then again, Strange is one of a handful of heroes that are probably a match for one of the Worthy on his own anyway - he used to take on beings like Dormammu, Satannish, and worse before being nerfed by Bendis.

I'm assuming these weapons will be imbued with mystical power per the drunken sacrifice Tony made to Odin.

What I'm wondering is how the wielders will be determined— does Tony know who he's forging these weapons for specifically? Or will it be like the Worthy weapons, which just seem to magically call out to certain characters.

It is true that Strange probably doesn't need the powerup, but his staff is the most interesting of the lot so I don't care so much!!
