Man, that's an ugly cover. But Status Quo Altering Revelations are apparently in the mix, so we'll have to see what happens. Maybe they reveal that Babara was never a member of the BoP or that Dinah was Batgirl while Barbara recovered from her shooting! :O

Working on a new Casstoon, not about this about I thought that people might want to know if they were interested.

They all look about fifteen, except for Katana who seems to have a mouth located to low.

Or at least she was Pre-Crisis, and that's what I stick with.

I really hate Finch and how he draws women. More than the 90's Image artists he was inspired by, he can really only draw one face and one body type for a woman, and his men don't fare much better.

I still don't get what Ivy's wearing. Was the leafy swimsuit not iconic enough? *rolls eyes*...

If I remember right, I think during SDCC, that character design panel, someone said that Ivy's leaves around her shift and change color depending on the situation.

And I must say that I'm also guessing several burnt out artists with these costumes. They're not necessarily bad, but oh boy are they busy.

It's Starling, I think her name is. She's a new character who has a bird name to fit with the team name, I think.

Still, at least they seem to have abandoned that with the introduction of Katana and Poison Ivy, otherwise it'd just be a matter of time before he had a superheroine called the Great Tit.

Uh, did the colorist miscolor Babs' costume?

This was pointed out on CBR, too. Someone suggested it looked more like Steph's choice in colours, which could either be a hint about who the guest star/returning character is (given in this day and age it's easy enough to replace characters on covers), or it's just a miscolour.

Also does anyone know what happened to Zinda Blake? Is she still in DCnU? I miss her beer-loving, witty self. :(

When talking about the Blackhawks book, they said the only old character coming back is Lady Blackhawk, which makes me think Zinda will be there.

Art oddities aside, I'm actually really looking forward to see Babs in the Birds again and what her revelation is. I'm guessing that it was that she was feeding them intel as "Oracle" the entire time and in this issue she joins the team completely as Batgirl. :D

It would be nice if they'd acknowledge that she's still BARBARA, which means that the brain is STILL Oracle, whether she's walking or sitting. But that should happen in her own book as well.
