Edit: I got to thinking and here is a question for my fellow S_Ders.

Think of a comic book character that has NOT been portrayed on the big screen and tell us which actor/actress/CGI robot should play them.

I get us started. He may have aged out of the role but Neil Patrick Harris as Speedball!

Odin bless any actor or actress going after comic book role but Christina, come on. You know what DC female character you're destined to play.

Well the problem there is that Marvel have cast pretty much all their best roles now, in the various films that we've had over the years..

Not that they've cast them well though, (Tobey MacGuire, and Jessica Alba stick out like unfortunately shaped sore thumbs..)
I have high hopes for Andrew Garfield being a bit better, (despite the rubbish suit..) and just about any blonde thirty something actress would be a better Susan Storm..

Though it was really tragic that they were SOOOO close to a pitch perfect Matt Murdock when they approached Guy Pearce. But unfortunately he turned them down and we got Affleck instead. (Though to be fair, he wasn't quite as terrible as I thought he'd be..) Maybe they should approach the lead from Burn Notice for the Daredevil re-boot? As he's always reminded me a little of Guy Pearce.

I also kind of wish they'd cast Stana Katic as Black Widow. As she not only looks the part, but pulled off a very believable russian accent in one of the episodes of Castle. Think it was very telling that they had Scarlet Johansson avoiding attempting that. I don't dislike Scarlett, but there are other Marvel roles I would have cast her as before Black Widow..

And Brian Blessed should have had a part in Thor. If not as Odin, then certainly as Volstagg! I was really surprised that Branagh didn't cast him..

Most annoying one though was the casting of Silver Surfer. As they had the right guy, with the right voice..(In one of the very earliest trailer clips for FF2 you could hear him speak one of the Silver Surfer's lines..) and then they dubbed him with Laurence Fishburne, just to have another star name. Doh! I swear the first time I heard him speak in the film, I thought for a split second it was Galactus telepathically communicating with the Surfer! LOL!
