Sam Clay would probably wet himself seeing this :D

Sooo... are they the Jean Men now? What happened to Xavier's? Will Cyclops' teams no longer be teaching? Doesn't seem likely as Emma's main focus has always been the teaching of Mutants. But perhaps Cyclops' school will focus for on survival and protection?

one interesting thing that came up in the last issue of Schism... Cyclops stated that Wolverine had been neglecting his teaching duties, that if he had trained them the way he should have been instead of playing the Loner, things may not have been as bad as they turned out, i think he makes a valid point, maybe that point stuck and that's why he's doing this... Headmaster wolverine is interesting... though he's still running X-Force... so he hasn't abbandoned the "Wetworks" aspect...

Okay X-Men... i'll bite....

Edit: I was thinking to myself... that's a cool school.... its a HUGE school... then i though.... Are there enough Mutants to warrant not only building such a huge school, but to also warrant splitting into two different schools? Maybe something happens in Children's Crusade, as well as Generation Hope that we have yet to see, thoughts?

Yeah, that's really going to help mutants get accepted into regular society, and crazy high tech school.

Maybe they're making it look like a school that's so cool that regular society would want to be in it?

I know right. There's at most thirty something students, and that's if they acknowledge the NXM kids as existing again. We know that the Lights are with Cyclops and we know that Hope is just "pffft we don't need school" so ... that is one big school for the remaining NXM kids, who don't even appear on a cover.

That depends. It's been a very consistent thread throughout their appearances that they feel abandoned by Cyclops and Emma Frost, so it really depends on whether Marvel are going to acknowledge that and have them actually break away. I mean, there's a big difference between "fighting that Sentinel that is right there" and "doing this for the rest of our lives".

Heck, for all we know, they could just refuse to be on the same side as Magik.

Haha no, no, Anole can't stand what happened to him and just wants a normal life where he can focus on being a teenager and heal from his psychological trauma, if that mini of him back in Divided We Stand means anything. I don't know if he'd volunteer to be fighting all the time when he doesn't necessarily have to. As for the others, Hellion came out in Generation Hope as being very much against fighting the Sentinel for Utopia but only went along with it because his team were, we haven't heard anything from Surge yet, and I think Elixir has been in limbo since the whole Necrosha storyline? Laura is running around with Gambit still (though is due to meet up with Hellion in her own book in December) and I don't think we've been told anything else. Pixie is also kind of ... bittersweet about her time as an X-Man in Generation Hope so I wouldn't say she was guaranteed to go across.

I must confess, I'd also rather the NXM kids be on this book, because the Lights are with Cyclops and it would rather undermine Wolverine's point if there were no children with him at all. If we're meant to think that Wolverine and Cyclops both have points, they do ... actually need kids around on both sides. Also they need a consistent book, for serious, and this is one that actually meets their needs.

Wrong arc! He likes being a masked vigilante in the X-Dudes mini, but he doesn't really like the whole ... constantly fighting for his life thing. It's treated as being something fun rather than a fight for survival? They're not the same thing.

No, Pixie didn't say that. What she says is that he was the most against it. The dialogue is a little hard to parse because of its ambiguity but Julian definitely doesn't want to be there. He's just there because the rest of them are and he's fighting for them, and not Utopia. As for trying to kill her, is this in the NXM arc where she gets him high? Because that was played for laughs.

I'd rather they not get drowned out by the Lights, to be honest. They already have been thus far, and I'd really like a book where they get to be the students too and not just forgotten entirely.
