Date: 2011-09-29 02:21 pm (UTC)When journalists are caught doing illegal stuff, it's usually the individuals who are blamed/blacklisted, not their companies. The News International case is an exception because of an entire newsroom's corruption, plus the possibility of executive assent. So Lois creating a culture of unethical journalism all on her lonesome makes me ragey as hell. She said she had the power to change things. Why didn't she?
So yeah, I had issues with this... issue. I did appreciate the lazy stab at examining how news is changing and why that's important, but it didn't really make sense.
