Date: 2011-10-01 06:23 am (UTC)1. Beast: Henry is a brilliant man, and I just can't see how he would ever describe Logan as simple. He might sometimes act on animalistic terms, but Beast of all people should be able to appreciate the human morals that dictate Logan's actions.
2. Emma: I'm sorry, but to me a telepath is never going to judge someone on something as trivial as their odor. She very well may think that he smells worse than a Manhattan city street on garbage day, but he's someone that's been alive for at least two centuries and very recently had their full memories revealed to them. She's not going to base this on smell.
3. Kitty: I know Logan has had different relationships with all of his "sidekicks" but it disturbs me that Kitty would judge her lovers based on Logan. Unless I've missed a huge aspect of their relationship, she should look at him as a brother/father figure to her like Jubilee.
On the other hand, characters that hit the nail on the head? Storm, Cyclops, and Professor X

Beast: A brilliant strategist, who is capable of calling the shots and making the right decisions to defeat his enemies, even if they are not what the common man would agree too. (I know this kind of goes against Schism, but this is just one of the many problems I have with that storyline)
Emma: A complicated man that no one truly understands. He's trying to do his best to correct a past that no one really understands or cares about, but is nonetheless important to him.

Date: 2011-10-01 08:35 am (UTC)Wolverine is an incredibly contradictory character, not just in that he's more than happy to contradict his leader's orders if he has any sort of issue with them, but that he's everything said above, and more.
I think it would be more accurate to say that he has been all of those things at one point in his life, though he has grown out of most of those phases.
What Wolverine has, almost, never been, is interesting to me. Only Marvel Adventures: The Avengers and Wolverine and the X-Men versions of him have managed to keep my attention for more than two seconds, which that's almost exclusively because of inordinately good writing.

Iron man: That is the best way to put him
Beast: I take it beast put it that way because they are extremly close. But judging by how him and moonknight got along in Secret avengers he takes people at face value easily.
Elecktra & Jubvilee: That is cute
Hawkeye: That came out of leftfield, and honestly why does he not show this much emotion in the main avengers books insteadd of making jokes until its hid turn to be useless.
Magneto: That is a lot coming from a guy whose very power could utterly destroy wolverine. I guarantee when wolverine was put on xmen, fans thought magneto would rip his ass apart.
Dr.Strange: shakes hands with the devil but still keeps his soul.
The Thing: Maybe if you guys did more then eat, have sex, and play cards in new avengers you would have more to say.
Deadpool: He has a thing for gruff mutants(Cable is coming back)
Blackpanther: I like that bp just has respect
Storm: Another charachter who really knows him
Cyclops(the one I waited for the most): Cyclops then proceded to confess his love for wolverine while simultaneously throwing all of his stuff out on the street and burning it with his eye beams.

And while his powers usually make that a futile exercise, I recall Logan getting a lucky hit in that more or less incapacitated him for weeks if not months. I'd imagine he's earned a fair amount of respect as a foe.
