A little uncanny valley, but not bad at all!



It was pointed out to me by junipepper that there was a page in "Games" which highlights Mr Grayson's derriere something fierce. No page was specified, but I think this might be the one in question...



If not, oh well, he looks very bendy in this one in any event.

And in leafing through the "Games" book again I did find, to my surprise, a rather nice shot of another derriere



At 16 he's pushing it in terms of my self imposed limit on such things, but hey... he's never looked better (and it's better to focus on this than his mullet-y hair.. seriously, what WAS he thinking)

Catwoman is 100% playable out of the box, afaik. Not sure on Robin and Nightwing.

Robin is a pre-order bonus at Best Buy, all signs point to Nightwing being unlockable/playable out of the box.

Word now is that Catwoman will be a pass type deal; you get a code to download her with a new copy, but buying it used means you have to drop some cash to get her.

And Robin has been said to be only for challenge maps, and the release date is quite near, as well as the first hint of the existence of Nightwing being the challenge room achievements similar to Robin's.

Which you know, actually makes his point quite considerable.

I am glad you made good use of this discovery, Icon_UK. Here's hoping that we get to see Nightwing's other skins to be Disco-Wing or the Classic Robin with his Pixie Boots (Richard would probably look silly like that but one can dream, hehehe) and maybe he could interact with Batman in some way.

It's always a delight to see Pérez doing some fierce Nightwing moments as well as showing some "booty".

I doubt it actually. A custom skin is one thing, but to get a proper Disco-Wing outfit it would probably be needed a new model altogether which is annoying for them to add into the game.

Actually, have you seen the alt costumes for Batman and Robin so far? They range from DKSA Batman to BTAS Batman, and I think Robin also has a few like that which alter the character model quite severely.

Given the major difference between the modern Nightwing and Discowing is the popped collar and a slight bit of detailing in the costume (colour being the easiest problem to solve), I think they could manage it.

Where have you seen them? The onyl picture I got through google was mentioned as fanmade, and for all the different detail it showed there was no indication of a change other than the colour texture and the bump mapping and normal map.

All official. The DKR Batman's visibly bulkier than the other models. So again, Discowing could easily be pulled off, and given they've got a 70's era Batman in there, that might actually be an appropriate pick in terms of alternate costumes. Batman also has a Sinestro Corps costume bundled as a code with the Green Lantern DVD/Blu-Ray, presumably so people'll actually buy the damn thing.

Slightly nitpicky, but Dick didn't become Nightwing until 1984. If they were going for the 1970's look it would the college era Dick with the pixie boots and feathered trunks.... A move I would certainly endorse! :)

Point taken, but they seem to be taking a few iconic costumes and running with them, is what I'm saying. And Discowing would be an iconic look that wouldn't be hard to pull off, as well as maybe the 'New Batman Adventures' version of Nightwing (although there's already a Dick Grayson-Robin variant from BTAS as one of Tim's alt's)...

TBH, if it's some separate mini-game and not something in-game I'm not that interested. I only played as the Joker a couple of times in AA and I found it more frustrating than fun.

Yeah, that's just slightly Uncanny Valley. For me, it's his eyes that just look a little bit off. Then again, in a third person game, it's not his face the player will be looking at most of the time, now, is it? As long as they get his ass right, I doubt anyone will even notice mild design flaws elsewhere.
