Okay, two things, maybe spoiler-ish:

1) I'm bugged by the interaction with the reporter. Woman reporter who has caught on to Bruce Wayne being a facade and is getting suspicious, so Batman uses his methodical thinking and detective skills to throw her off the trail, and JK HE BANGS HER IN HIS OFFICE.

2) Not in these scans, but Batman's not allowed to examine The Joker's face, so...it's pretty obvious that it's not really The Joker's face, right?

I think previous scans actually showed him getting his face removed willingly. I think it happened, we just don't know why.

So Bruce has his own bit of a cliff to rock climb on in his own building. Daniel's having a lot of fun with the playboy aspect of Bruce, gotta give him that.

And while having Batman face off against basically Leatherface and his family is kinda interesting, having the second issue in the row end with someone's face getting jacked-up is a little sad. I'm guessing #3 will have Batman's face about to be jacked-up--like Dollmaker is going to fuse the mask to Bruce's face or something.

I could imagine Bruce setting up a gym in his office building with a lots of indoor-outdoor extreme sports equipment so he can practice doing Batman things during the workday.

"Check out our indoor track!"

"Nice... but why is there a shark tank in the middle of it? Wait! Is that an alligator also?"

I personally enjoyed this issue. I think the Dollmaker is one of the more interesting new villains in this reboot and there were some scary vibes in this book.

It's funny, because I know I should be all freaked out or worried about Gordon on that last page, but even though he's all stitched up, all I can think about his how odd he looks without the gray hair/mustache.

That's Gordon on the last page right? Why do I have a feeling this is going to end with Bruce solving everything without calling in help from his partner, who also happens to be the daughter of the man this happened to?

I do have to say though, it is fun to see a little more of playboy!bruce.

Probably because in the end that isn't going to be Gordon. Actually probably within the next two issues, that will turn out to not be Gordon.

Also, in a bit of trainwreck syndrome my friend wanted to know what the Joker's face ended up looking like post-face removal. Could someone tell me (if it's in there at all) and save me the torture of having to read/skim to find out?

The joker wasn't shown in this issue. He was just mention in dialogue mostly. :)

I still can't believe they gave Tony Daniel the writing duties for their flagship title. What is this but retread writing (Bruce banging the reporter to distract her might as well be Vicki Vale or Vesper Fairchild) and over-the-top shock value (the Joker's face last month to end the issue, Gordon's this month) as a replacement for originality.

This is honestly starting to feel like gorn to me. While I like the playboy aspect of Bruce, because it's fun and lulzy, I'd like a little less of the gorn. If I want gorn, I'll play some bloody hack n'slash or shooter game.

Maybe I was reading it wrong, but I didn't feel like this was a case of him distracted her with amazing sex or anything. It read like they were already in a casual relationship.
