Errr... good intentions or not, wouldn't those guys that Clark dunked into the chemical slunge be up for some major health issues if it's as bad as they said.

If you're trying to be seen as a force for good and want people to take you seriously, giving about five or so waste disposal people (plus the additional cops who arrested them, the paramedics that might get injured by the gloop etc.) cancer/horrible burns probably isn't the best way to do things.

Fool! He used his super-senses to detect the harmless chemical sludge and threw the goons into that!

=P

I'd be equally concerned about them gaining superpowers!

Yup, any moment now, the Sludge Squad will be formed and attack the EPA guys... Ooze, Gunk, Extrusion, Scummm (For that extra 90's flavour) and Slyme (ditto) will go Plasmus on their ass.

I would be more concerned with the levels of dihydrogen monoxide in the river on page four!

Good lord, you're right! If it's connected to an ocean bay, the salinity could be as low as .5 ppt or as high as 17 ppt! (thanks, Google).

Out of topic or not: The pre-New 52 costume was so much better and iconic! The current one looks like someone trying to pass for Supes, but not him..

That's one of the better PSA comics I've seen. Not "The" best, but surely not one of the worsts...

I don't think its the new costume, its the character himself. it's hard to look at a young, new 20-odd superman and see the same experience and trustworthiness as in the upper-30s version. And making him a leaner character instead of muscled just makes him seem a little flimsier compared to this Supes.

Underwater and the Amazon rainforest? I guess Aquaman and Fire were busy.

I thought that too, but let's be honest: For a comic that's really aimed at the readers themselves, who is going to take anything Aquaman does seriously? Especially compared to Superman. I wish it wasn't so, because I'd love to see Aquaman do something like this with overfishing, but I really don't see it happening at all.

But I really like that underwater scene, especially how thy change his colors for the water.

You don't seem me coming up to your fields and drowning all of your cattle.

I love the assholes who are screaming "Not In My Backyard" but don't care about the waste they're generating requiring another landfill.

The same things are said by people who don't want windfarms off the coast of New England because they'll be "ugly."

Umm, wow the disconnect between this comic and Superman's actions in Grounded regarding pollution is kinda disorienting.

Finally! Superman gets the guts to stand up to the real people ruining the world today. Brazilian manual laborers.
