My two favorite series growing...

were Young Justice and Generation X. And obviously with the PAD rule, YJ is a no-no but I'd like to share some of my favorite moments from Gen X early on in the run [Issues 1-20] as I've noticed there aren't a lot of posts in the tag for it. This series is also the reason I went from hating the character of Jubilee to loving her as a kid.

I LOVE LOVE LOVED LOVED THIS SERIES! its what made me fall in love with Emma Frost,! (and Bacholo's art was not 100% eye bleedable yet!)

Being as it was my first exposure to Emma, I kinda loved her from the beginning. :)

I thiiiiink I remember going back and reading the Claremont stuff after I got into Gen X. Then I realized she always dressed that way. Ha.

Ser even that would have worked if it wasn't for the fact it ACTUALLY WAS a bra... I was like... Come ON! The.comic at least makes it look like more than just a bra

Poor Jubilee, she's going through her vampire phase.

I remember mine, most awkward period of my life.

You know... To be honest... I don't hate VampJubilee... It's better than un powered jubilee. Least now she gets screen time

From the cover art and promos for the new books, I would say no.

I actually rather like it. I'd take her repowered over it, but I think there's some potential there for some fun or good storytelling. It all depends on how it plays out.

I think I'm just personally over vampires that aren't named Morbius. Heh.

you know what.... i never really liked Morbius in the comics... never found him interesting... i liked him in the animated series though

I don't think it's likely. As far as I'm aware, Dr. Strange and Wong are the only people at Marvel who've had a cure for vampirism take permanently, and it was explicitly stated in that story that it was a one-time thing (later born out by Strange being unable to cure his own brother years afterward).

Since this is Lodbell I'd just like to say in my opinion Cassie should be similar to Paige Guthrie except not trying to live up to family.

I could see her becoming a Paige like character after she gets over the fear she was dealing with over being caught in the first issue.

she should have to grow into the role though and she definately shouldn't be a thief.

If the car was the only thing she stole, then I'm okay with it if she was scared and on the run.

Emplate is my favorite X-Villain of all time. he's so delightfully creepy, especially his recent episode with Bling and Rogue! I really would like to see more of them.

I loved Emplate, too. I haven't read anything he's been in besides Gen X, tho.

You'd probably like his Legacy story which drmcninja is referring to. It was very creepy and seemed to reveal some of what he actually has to deal with on a daily basis. Collected in the tpb X-Men Legacy: Emplate by Mike Carey and Daniel Acuna. Good stuff. :)

oh she still cares. you mess with them and she will hurt you bad... She doesn't even like Laura, but she messed up Kimra because a) she hurt Laura and b) she was going to hurt Laura again.

but i do think she needs more student time... i think the only reason she is staying with Cyclops is because she loves him... a part of me thinks she wants to go and teach again.
