I await the scenes of Tom Hiddleston and the green men with ridged chins talking about how they want to do mean things to the Earth.

AW YEAH, WATCHING THIS FILM FOR BLACK WIDOW, here's thoughts:

- I hope they give her a plotline besides kicking stuff!! (though I do like kicking stuff)

- I hope if they give her a plotline besides kicking stuff it focuses on the spy-superhero tension in her character, or the redemption from the nameless sins she's seeking by joining up to fight explosions!! And not ~being the only girl there~ and which boy she likes best.

- So thus I hope that glance people are reading between her and Loki is just a coincidence of trailer editing and not and indication of many Significant Looks the plot will give us.

- I also hope that this won't mimic Ultimates too much, especially wrt her character because sadface.

- Did she take off her formalwear shoes to fight someone?? :) :)

I'd actually love it if, rather than Thor, Iron Man, or the Hulk administering the climactic coup de grace on Loki, it were Natasha out-sneaky-ing him and living up to her codename in the end.

I have a lot of feeeelings about how one of the most interesting things about Natasha is that she isn't her codename (i.e. someone who seduces men then kills them) at all, but rather a subversion of the trope?? But I would love to see skill and not just smashing play a crucial role in taking Loki down.

I LOVE IT! AND CANNOT WAIT!

They're still hiding the Skrulls (though you get a sense of "presence" they're in here from the lasers and stuff *people staring at the sky* etc.) and keeping the Hulk at the end was a smart move.
Why? Because as much as it would please comic nerds and fanboys/girls alike, it will scare away the lambda audience. The mainstream public will see various characters from various random flicks getting together to fight aliens? Really? and run away..

Yeah, I'd expect them to hold back the Skrulls a while yet, get the Avengers as a concept settled in the public mind.
