I really, really wish this had been them finally letting the REST of us see the one they released at D23, but it's still good. Somewhat similar structure--they only had Hulk at the very end there, too, presumably because very, very little of the footage of him is ready yet.

I'm just happy I'm not the only one freaking out. So far, it looks good and I don't think Natasha and Clint will get too little focus. I agree that the lack of Hulk is probably from lack of rendering.
But none of that can compete with Nick Fury and his bazooka! /dies from heart attack

Judging from the cancelled tie-in game, Loki is teaming up with Skrulls.

Though the game had Skulls with X-Men and Fantastic Four powers, when both groups don't exist in the Marvel Movieverse as far as I'm aware as they're owned by different film studios.

I think Stark/Downey Jr. will be much more interesting in a group dynamic. Competition amongst proven equals makes for much better snark potential than Iron Man 2, where he had no equals, just underlings. He seemed bored in the last movie, though maybe I'm just projecting.

I don't really like the sleeveless look for Thor's costume. Maybe it's because he hadn't bulked up enough, but it's making his top look oversized for him and making him look smaller relatively.

I agree, despite all those explosions at the start (thought I'd been trolled and was watching a Transformers clip), a lot of the preview just didn't add up to anything for me. Re-watched one of the trailers for Watchmen the other day, and felt how supremely it made it seem to be about a group of masked adventurers, AND THAT STORY'S NOT EVEN ABOUT A TEAM! IT WAS A MARKETING TRICK!

One thing in particular I didn't see was ANY snapshot of Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill (she a one-off like Olivia Munn in Iron Man 2? We'll see). Remains to be seen how much of the actual Avengers team she'll be.

One possibility I wonder about (especially with Whedon at the helm) is a scene of Fury going over a database list of potential recruits, and that lists more female names.

All in all, beyond wondering what course the plot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe takes, I've not seen the "reason" I will love this movie.

And yet, I remain convinced the final product be more than the sum of its parts.
