The two scientists do talk Robo into reluctantly allowing the experiment, citing the potential benefits of a successful test.

And then it turned evil!

What Robo calls evil, I call fun. Steam? It's necessary for SCIENCE!

It also had flame vents that occasionally fire.

To me that music can never get old seeing as it's gone past it's sell by date of being used seriously.

To Atomic Robo, he might as well be--either way this guy is talking out of his ass. :D

Totally agree - this looks fantastic. Anyone suggest a good place to start, or a good collection?

One of the great things about Robo is that the collections are basically standalone. You can literally start anywhere, and while elements of earlier stories (like these two guys) show up in later minis, they are more like icing on the cake than required data.

Hell, the volumes aren't even in chronological order.

That actually makes it more attractive. I think I'll start with a Dr. Dinosaur.

The start's pretty good, but yea, I don't think any of them rely on knowledge of any other so far. They reference others, mind you, pretty often, but we've yet to get a "you need-need-need this other story!" story.

Dr. Dinosaur, fyi, is collection 4 :)
