I think that Magneto staying on Utopia and calling it 'his life's work' is probably all the argument Logan needs against Scott. The man's meandered back and forth across the good/evil line that many times it's a joke, and that the guy is willing to kneel before Scott and commend him says it all. Scott might be the general, but he's leaning closer and closer to warlord, these days.
Logan's approach might be 'back to basics', but I'd wager it's something that a few of the X-Men need right now. Personally, I'm just disappointed Ali's sticking with Scott.
