"Fans who have fallen away from the moronic depiction of Deadpool that has been presented of late will find Bloodstrike more their liking. This is modern, rogue, mercenary action-adventure. Tons of great concepts, as well. Tim Seeley put his Grant Morrison hat on and has some great big ideas." -- Rob Liefeld

Liefeld has announced that he's restarting Extreme Studios and relaunching a bunch of his old characters in new titles. First he'll be turning into comics those unpublished Alan Moore scripts for Supreme and Youngblood that he's been sitting on all these years. After that he'll be moving onto new material. "Youngblood" will be by one of the screenwriters for the Aranofsky flick "Black Swan." More here.

Okay, it looks like I'm being mistaken here as a proponent of Liefeld.

I AM NOT.

I don't think I was mistaking you. You were clear you don't like the man's work artistically speaking; but were talking of the person, in terms that we can find him sympathetic and even admirable for his perseverance and self-awareness. All things I would agree with if not for the fact Liefeld said stuff about 'Star that were kinda homophobic.

Did I get you totally wrong?

No, that's fair. But I am completely unfamiliar with Shatterstar, and really don't feel like going into every stupid thing Liefeld has no doubt said in his career. See, overall: I don't care about him at all. One way or another.

I am talking about this one statement, and this one matter. And I'm not going to waste any time whatsoever defending him(Jesus, that sounds like Cartoonist Hell). In other words, whatever you want to say of Liefeld, go to it, but don't point it in my direction.

I meant what I said pretty literally : I would find him sympathetic & his perseverance admirable if not for that shit he said. I mean, I wasn't trying to go with "How DARE you defend Liefeld after that shit he said". Just... what I said.

I'm sorry, I may be a trifle defensive, it's just that I don't want to even come close to some kind of flame war where I'm somehow put into the position of defending LIEFELD. You can see why that would be a horrific irony. ;)

My conflict avoidance reflex was trained by negative reinforcement on the Comics Journal message board(now thankfully DEAD dead dead) initially, so old flinches die hard.

PS--And it's merely his perseverance I find admirable, and only in principle. His self-awareness I merely find surprising and slightly refreshing.

I didn't think I was going to have to explain so much for trying to say something nice.
