So he dates Cordelia, then sleeps with Willow, then he almost marries Anya
then he dates Dawn? Hmm... Cordelia becomes one of the Powers That Be, Willow becomes a dark "witch?" "crazy black eyed magik user?" and eventually an earth goddess type, and Dawn used to be The Key. Yeah, keep in mind the Praying Mantis substitute teacher and the Inca mummy princess/priestess.

P.S: I'm not counting the love spell, that wasn't dating that was fury that hell hath not.

Xander as "parahuman babe magnet" was pretty much in canon. Which is nothing else goes to show that parahuman babes have good taste, as he was definitely the one I'd have picked out of the male cast.

Hmmm, you raise a valid point, though werewolfishness might be something of a drawback. Oz was certainly cool, but was SO laid back it would probably irk me at times (Probably moreso that Xander's neurose and neediness).

Of course, if BOTH were available! :)

I think I found the demon debt collector bit more jarring than the bad dialogue. I mean seriously? There are demons in Buffyverse that collect back student loans? God I hope that was a dream she was having. XP

She moved out and got a flat of her own, with new flatmates. She was arrested reasonably fairly, and had no particular reason to suspect demonic or other evil influence in the police, but skipped out anyway, and decides not to go back to her known address, but instead to her sister and best friend's, which'll be the very next place that the police check (because Buffy was crashing there recently anyway), which could lead to Dawn and Xander being arrested for harbouring a fugitive. If there's any douchyness going on, I'd say it was on Buffy's part. She seems to understand and accept this and leaves without pleading. The way I read that exchange was that if she'd said "no, i'm sorry, this is really important", they'd have said "oh, ok then"

Thanks for the info. Like I said I haven't been following. Last I read of Buffy was the end of season 8 where she destroyed all magic and everyone was pissed as hell at her, and her slayer army was dissolved.

Personally, I might get back into this with a TPB, but right now I'm pissed about what happened to Willow. I'm not much for the growing as a hero storyline, but I liked hers and they basically used it to say it made her destined for evil.

Yeah at this rate Willow's probably gone back to being a hacker until she finds a way to bring magic back, which I imagine is how she becomes dark again and not nearly as powerful in the future.

Sure, but going straight to Dawn and Xander would be putting them in danger too. I just didn't read her as being being that stressed about it. Perhaps she was mostly wanting to avoid awkward questions from her new flatmates!

I'm hoping Dark Willow has something to do with the return. Okay, so she was killed by the scythe, a weapon she's familiar with and has magically manipulated. Say she tranfers her soul into as she dies and then is released when it's broken in the past, so she can speed up the restoration of magic.

actually, you find out that with the Seed Destroyed demons without interenalized magic have lost it. and in this case, the demon has been cut off from his home dimension... think of them as magical refugees and he's getting by how he can

i loved Willow as a witch, and thought Buffy destroying the seed was stupid... i love Fray, but i don't want this turning into Fray... i would rather that just be an alternate future...

i want willow to restore magic and buffy to realize what she did. i mean the way magic is in the buffy verse, its intrinsically connected to nature and life on earth, you CAN"T destroy something like that and it have no effect on things. i mean buffy is essentially responsible for the hell the future becomes if that is the case....

Personally I wouldn't have gone for early seasons Xander, but in the later ones, he really became awesome.

I always admired Xander for being the one who wanted to help stop the monster despite not being a Slayer, a superstrong vampire, a genius hacker/superwitch, a werewolf or having access to the knowledge of the Watchers.
