Date: 2011-10-17 05:41 pm (UTC)Yeah, there was a lot of focus on her. Also a lot on Scott and Hank. They were founding members of the X-men and are big names in the mutant world. And, yeah, when the spotlight shined on her, other characters got pushed to the side. The same thing is true for every other character the spotlight shined on. Every time you got a Storm story or a Rogue story, other characters would get less attention.
Storm fits a lot of the same points you bring up. Everyone falls in love with her. Nobody can dislike her without being put in a negative light. She's more the primary X-lady than Jean, particular seeing as she's actually lead the team multiple times.
Ugh. Whatever. I'm just a little sick of the whole Jean's a Mary Sue because she's well-liked and powerful thing.
