Rogue and Loki as Avengers? I like that. Both fought them as villains (Hel, Loki is the reason the Avengers exist in the first place).

But Wade? I love him but no, just no.




Cap is right. We should have those fucking tower rebuilt by 2003. Fucking Bushhco.

Since the Tower is gone, all the Avengers pile into Luke's swinging Avengers Mansion.



Man! Wong is crabby nowadays.

Oh Peter. The art, I'm on the fence about it. I like and dislike it at the same time.

It's mixed, the art. It has good moments, and some confusing ones, too. What makes it all the more irritating is the inconsistency, even in the same panel.

I like it for the most part, but Rulk on the last page really looks wrong. Plus, Ms. Marvel keeps losing her nose.

The Avengers with Herc, Misty Knight, Blade, Black Panther, Rogue, Cloak+Dags, Loki, Storm, and Ghost Rider are pretty much my dream team. Oh hey, it's also ethnically and gender-diverse!

Too bad none of them are actually going to end up on the team (maybe Storm).

Ugh. I just cannot see Wong being that crude, particularly to someone who, like he, has devoted his life to the service of others. (And I say this as someone who laughed over his threat to burn the kitchen down if any of the New Avengers messed with it - that was actually funny.)

I really like the art, even if it has some weird details--it's really expressive and just the right amount of cartoonish, at least for my taste.

Oh, Cloak & Dagger. I kind of like them, and yet they've just never caught on. But really, more heroes need overdoses of synthetic heroin in their origin stories.

Kinda weird to see Mockingbird care though. Wasn't one of the big deals that was revealed when she came back was she was going to divorce him, the skrull impersonated her to "fix" their marriage and now that she was back still didn't want to re-marry?

Hmmm...so wait. Does this mean no more Mighty, New and Secret Avengers, just one? Because that kinda would make more sense anyway, just have a rotating staff.

Again. I am confused. I can understand why Clint and Bobbi aren't married now but, weren't they working on it and back together? Not to mention in New Avengers he was so desperate to save her life, yet in Avengers is making googley eyes at Spider-Woman. Someone help me out here.

Is that Hawkeye's new rig? Nice. Seeing those enormous flap boots in FI scans was really annoying.

Also, wow Bendis, way to just shoe horn 9/11 back into something. That was really poignant and necessary.

The art's good, but that sequence with Hawk, Beast and Mockingbird makes no sense to me. I have no idea what is supposed to be going on there.

Also, not a fan of dick-Wong.

I like it? I'm surprised myself, since I hated nearly everything I saw about FI but yeah, I really like the art, I like the banter between the heroes, I like that they are stuck together like that.

As for the OMG WHO WILL BE THE AVENGER!, listen, guys, I have seen this used about 50 times before in the recent years. I've seen it before the CW, after the CW, when they were chosing Osborn's Avengers, Secret Avengers etc. Learn a new trick.

There were very vague hints last year about both Rogue and Iceman becoming Avengers. I figure TPTB will stop hinting and do something one of these years.

Wong is very nice to people who understand their place. And their place is outside of his kitchen. It's not an Asian stereotype so much as a servant stereotype. If you made them both Brits and stuck them in a manor house no one would blink at that exchange.
