ComicBookResources has the preview for the current situation with the Plutonian as we find out....

Better the devil you know?

Dang, I actually liked the idea of it being a giant, radioactive, feminine cosmic being/ghost with 3 arms better than this. Oh well.

Tony, we are your mother and father

I think maybe these are Tony's parents. Given that Tony can control reality - but hasn't yet realized this - it makes sense that his parents wouldn't be that human. Think about it, if you could alter the fabric of space and time, would you choose to stay less than 4 meters tall and using eyes and ears for sensory input?

I foresee this going the way of Supergod really fast. Good job, leaders of the free world. Good job.

"So you're responsible for killing the only friend of godlike beings" is one of the more dusty pamphlets of the "So You're Fucked" series.
While the design is pretty cool, it's a huge letdown from the almost magnetic horror that was last issue's final page. There was so much potential for eldritch mindfuckery!

And if this doesn't work, I guess it'll be the European Union's mysterious deadly secret's turn.

Hmm...Wonder how this'll go. We're supposedly finding out Tony's definitive origin by December according to Mark Waid (as part of the Irredeemable Incorruptible crossover) so I do wonder if they're his parents or connected to hi origin in some way.

The first time I ever saw Jedward talk I was horrified, yet fascinated. They really, seriously, *actually* do the classic creepy twin thing of finishing (and beginning) each other's sentences, as though they were ONE SINGLE UNIFIED CONSCIOUSNESS, INHABITING SEPARATE BODIES.

Imagine how dangerous they could be if that consciousness wasn't completely inane.

You joke, but the thought is chilling.

Many jokes have a basis in fear....

They remind me of a combination of creepy marionette puppets (like something Gerry Anderson might have created whilst in the thrall of some sort of demonic possession), and less attractive versions of the the fused-twin Cenobites from Hellraiser: Bloodline.

What's the title of this comic again?

*Looks at top*

Oh yea, 'Irredeemable'.

I foresee this going well!

Ooh that's pretty savage for you, bro.

Personally I find them sinister and irritating as fuck, but they're not without physical charm - i.e., I bet you would if they had a mute button :P and if they weren't so stupid it seems like it ought to be illegal, obvs.

While I was reading this, the radio was playing Mel Torme' singing "Gonna' Go Fishin' (And Catch Me A Trout)."

I love this week already.

Look at the first comment, now back to me

You may be on to something. Could it be these are humans from the far future when they've reached their evolutionary peak? It's interesting that they erect a monument and then write on it in English.

I bet you I wouldn't; aside from the startling lack of any noticeable talent (be it singing, acting or... anything really), their look is definitely one not that works for me, too pale (and I say that as a Scotsman), their hair has more personality, and yes, their constant physical proximity to each other just makes me feel more than a but uncomfortable for reasons I'd rather not dwell on.

The only time they made me even slightly smile was the last line in this advert.

Speaking as an olive skinned (ok, more the colour of a rich tea biscuit but whatever) lady, I find pale exotic and interesting.

Plus, doing Jedward would fulfil my Captain Kirk-ish ambitions to seek out strange new life forms.

I know this is shallow and making unbiased assumptions, but the ruff-like necks make me imagine them as very proper, refined Dr Who aliens who only want a nice cup of tea, a finger sandwich and a civilised chat about things.

In fact, if they are Tony's giant, glow-worm headed, starfish handed parents, I hope that rather than a final battle they just send him to sit on the naughty moon and think about what he has done.

Finally! My nanowrimo plot.

Depends how human I wanted to feel, and how worried I was about how my ability to affect reality might distance me from the real world around me.
