Marvel Medicine is anything but a marvel
Date: 2011-11-05 02:03 am (UTC)Doc Samson was a decent psychologist but he always seemed to have issues when it came to Bruce Banner (I think the Doc was a little green himself). Now that Samson's dead (for now) we need a new super-psychologist/psychiatrist. And no, Moonstone does not count. If we're talking people who make you worse instead of better then we could go with Dr. Faustus or Mister Fear or any of dozens of psycho psychologists in Marvel's playpen.
Something that I've always wondered about is where do superheroes with nigh-invulnerability go for medical treatment? I mean, we already say that when Luke Cage had a bullet lodged in his chest that HAMMER had to use a superpower nullifying energy field in order to operate. What happens when a superhero (with a public identity or not) ends up a normal hospital? If the diamond/silicone/titanium cutting implements don't work, then what? Do you just check for a superhero? It's not like Cyclops can bore a hole in your skull to relieve intracranial bleeding (well, I guess that depends on his level of control, if it's anything along the lines of how anal retentive he can be, you'll be just fine).
What do you guys thing?
