The New Avengers #18

Norman Osborn re-assembles his Dark Avengers team.
Just kidding about the Dick Cheney.
But Osborn has brought together some scary people.
Most of the issue is the various factions of Hydra, AIM, the Hand coming together under those still loyal to H.A.M.M.E.R. and their reasoning why. Inbetween, we see Norman going around the world recruiting his heavy hitters.
The line-up:
Wolverine (the Gorgon), Scarlet Witch (Toxie Doxie), Hulk (Skaar), Spider-man (Ai Apaec), Ms. Marvel (Suprema), Hawkeye (Bart Barton).
Not pictured: Thor (Ragnarok cyborg clone).

And confused as to why she's dressed like the Scarlet Witch when her powers are no where near even being close to Wanda's. There's plenty of female Avengers. I think she could have pulled off Spider-Woman pretty well actually.

Date: 2011-11-10 02:20 pm (UTC)I like his take on Norman and the villains point of view, but Bendis' writing is getting tired. He's just recycling his "villains working within the system schtick" over and over and trying to make people care about bad/obscure characters.
And if I hear about how great Spider Woman's hair is one more time I am going to Marvel's offices to find Bendis and stab him in the neck with a No. 2 pencil.
