SUPERGIRL #6

On sale FEBRUARY 15 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US RATED T
A powerful new alien foe bent on the conquest of mankind is crushing New York City beneath her boot heel. But where is Supergirl, who led her to Earth in the first place? Why, she’s trapped on a meteorite that’s plummeting straight into a blue sun. And she’s lost her powers! So, good luck, NYC!
Also to go with the Supergirl comic. Michael Green in a interview with newsarama confirm that the villain not "Maxima" after all.
"And then issue #5 is another new villain. I think there may be some confusion because an early solicitation had her named "Maxima." But this is a new character that we had thought about naming Maxima because we loved the name, even though that character had perished in the previous universe. But we're not using the name Maxima anymore. I don't want to say what she's called now. We'll leave that a secret for now.
But this character is new and plays a very integral role in the secrets of how Kara got to Earth."

Date: 2011-11-16 03:30 am (UTC)I think my head hurts just to even think about the Legion(s) playing any part in this nuDC. I mean didn't the new Legion of Superheroes #1 specifically say time travel couldn't be done to the past due to the Flashpoint effect? With the only exception being the Legion Lost members who were trying to travel apparently just before it kicked in? It. I. Gah.
