So it's not "scissoring" because claws are involved... but then again because claws are involved then it's truer to the definition of the idea.

Traditionally, the Klingon mating ritual supposedly involves the woman throwing things, while the man recites love poetry and ducks a lot. Now, obviously, that's not very inclusive of same-sex relationships. In lesbian cases, do the women trade off on reciting love poetry/throwing stuff? Or is it like a giant snowball fight with razor sharp blades instead of snowballs, and poetry spoken throughout by both parties? I find myself hoping it's the latter.

I just realized that nothing in my description depends on them being women, the same question applies with two males, just the picture was of two women fighting so my mind was on that track. Apologies for leaving anybody out.

After the episodes of TNG that dealt with Klingon mating, I started thinking that ALL violence is some sort of mating ritual/flirtation to a Klingon.

Yes, I know that actually isn't the case, but watching Star Trek with that in mind was entertaining to me.

A camper bunch than the "Oh so butch" TNG/DS9 Klingons would be hard to imagine. Talk about leatherboys... (I'm not sure if there's an equivlaent "leathergirls" group for comparison purposes, but if there is, assume I'm being inclusive here)

I imagine you're just supposed to fight it out, so the wooer proves his/her love by reciting poetry and ducking, while the wooee attacks them appropriately. The sex of the individual participants is hardly relevant. Maybe sometimes it gets confused and both people want to hook equally, so they just both throw stuff while yelling poetry.
